Penelope went home rather wasted, with her arm wrapped around Derek for support as she rambled on about how handsome he was. Even Margot had gotten a bit tipsy, presumably trying to forget about her lovers quarrel with Nathan, which left JJ, Spencer, and Celia as the only sober ones in the group.
Celia used their intertwined hands to put Spencer's arm around her as they made their way down the street to Spencer's car. He leaned down and pressed a kiss to the top of her head, "Do you want to stay at my place?" She nodded, glancing up at him, then Margot, who was following behind them at a distance. "Could we take Margot to the hotel first? I don't want to leave her behind." Spencer nodded and pressed the button on his keys to unlock his car, and with the help of both Celia and Spencer, they carefully helped Margot into the back seat of his car. She rested her head against his car window, blissfully unaware of the fact that Spencer and Celia were giggling like idiots in the front seat.
He reached over and squeezed Celia's hand three times, letting their joint fingers rest on the console between them. The lights and buildings flew past them in a blur, and Celia stared at Spencer's side profile as he drove. When he pulled up to a red light, he glanced over at her, the smallest of smiles on his face. Celia glanced in the backseat, seeing Margot with her eyes closed before she leaned forward and pressed her mouth to his. Celia pulled away when she heard a loud retching sound in the back seat and saw Margot with her eyes now open, her finger in her mouth as she pretended to gag. "You guys are disgustingly adorable."
"I thought you were asleep," Celia stated, rotating her body so she was now facing Margot. The girl in the backseat ran a hand down her face, shaking her head. "Not asleep. Just resting my eyes," she corrected. As Spencer pulled up to the front of the hotel, Celia unbuckled her belt and opened Margot's door as she helped her up. "Do you need help?" Spencer called from the front, and Celia shook her head and she helped Margot into the lobby. "I got her." She could walk just fine, but she wasn't used to wearing heels that she'd started swaying slightly with every step she took.
"You feeling okay there, Margot?" Margot nodded, letting out a loud yawn. "Just sleepy. Don't worry about me. Go spend time with your boyfriend." The elevator doors opened, and Margot stepped out, still unable to walk in a straight line, but at least she could stand upright. Progress. "I think I might have had too much to drink," Margot whispered, rubbing her eyes. She had stopped abruptly in her tracks, and Celia followed her line of sight to her hotel room, where a familiar brunette was leaning against the door with his arms crossed over his chest. "Because I swear that I just saw your cousin, but that's impossible because-"
"It's him," Celia told her. On the phone earlier, she thought that he was just joking about coming out here, or that he was just being dramatic. She didn't expect him to actually show up. "It is?" Margot asked, her face softening. Nathan looked up and caught sight of her, and leaned off the door frame to walk toward them. "He's here?" Celia nodded, and Nathan approached with a frown on his face. He stopped directly in front of her, tilting Margot's chin up to look at him, and a coy grin on his face. "Where are those guys you were talking about, hm?"
"Nathanial," Margot greeted, patting him on the chest as she fought back a smile. "Why are you here?"
"You didn't think you could run away from me, did you?" He questioned with a raised eyebrow. Drunk Margot seemed to have forgotten that she was mad at him a mere few hours ago, because she couldn't seem to hold back the small smile. Despite her prickly exterior around him, she was happy to see him. "You know that I'll chase you if I have to. Especially if you think you can ignore me, Greene."
