The rest of the week flew by and as promised Dylan was a no show on Friday which made me think of where he was and what he was doing, not in an obsessed-fangirl kind of way like the rest of our schools female population but in a curious way.
Today is Saturday, my first official day of rest, or so I thought until Megan called me this morning, begging me to go to a party that she was invited to by some jock that she likes.
Unlike Megan I try my best to avoid parties because they never seem to go well for me. This one time I went to a party with Megan and ended up leaving soaked because someone thought that it was funny to push the 'fat girl' in the pool.
But being the good friend that I am, I decided to go to this party with Megan only because she said that she doesn't want to be alone if he turns out to be an ass. Which is pretty likely because that usually tends to be Megan's type.
The party starts at seven but Megan is going to come over to my house to get ready at six meaning that I still have five hours to kill.
My plan initially was to snuggle up in bed and watch re-runs of The Vampire Diaries but the weather turned out to be way too nice to spend in bed so I decided to go for a jog on the beach.
Although I'm not one to exercise, ever since I lost weight I kept to a one time a week routine where I do anything that included cardio or any other form of exercise to make sure that I didn't go back to the way I was because I don't think I'd be able to deal with all that I went through again.
When I got to the beach I noticed that it was full of surfers, I guess there was some sort of event going on today. I plugged my headphones into my iPod and began running, my goal for today was to run for at least an hour.
Half an hour into my jog I saw a dog running towards me and a person who was probably his owner chasing after it.
As the dog came closer I realized that the dog was running straight at me and within the course of a second I was knocked over onto my butt straight into the damp sand.
Great.
Did I mention that I have a huge fear of dogs? Well if that happened to slip my mind, I want to make one thing perfectly clear I am terrified of dogs.
As soon as I stood up I began to run for my life in the other direction. I was so focused on running from the dog that I didn't realize that I was running straight into a person.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry!" I apologized as I moved back to take in the appearance of the person but judging from the metal-like body that I bumped into I'm pretty sure that it was a guy.
"Are you alright?" A deep voice asked. Yup definitely a guy. I looked up to meet his eyes and almost instantly the words from my mouth evaporated as I took in his stunning appearance.
He had brown curly hair, which was wet, his eyes were a hypnotising hazel with flecks of blue and his eyelashes were twice the length of mine. His face was tan and I could just make out the small freckles dotted around on his no--.
There was a bark that came from behind me and without another thought I screamed and began running around this gorgeous guy in circles with the dog chasing after me.
"Help me!" I screamed but my pleading was to no avail as he just laughed at my childish behaviour. Thankfully the owner of the dog finally caught up and put the dog on a leash, then apologized and left.
"Well thanks for just standing there and laughing at me while I was shitting my pants and running round you in circles," I said to the handsome guy, getting a little annoyed.
