"I can't believe that you just did that!" I yelled, just as we left the class.

"Did what?" Megan asked, walking towards us.

"Well it's not like you were going to do it. And besides you should be thanking me because I just got you out of a night of misery and possibly foot injury." Lucy replied and crossed her hands over her stomach.

"I repeat myself. Did what?" Megan asked again, this time raising her voice a little to make sure she was heard.

"She asked Dylan to be my date for your sister wedding." I told her, starting to walk to my locker.

"And what did he say?" She asked, you could hear the excitement in her voice starting to build.

"He obviously said yes." Lucy replied.

"This is so awesome, maybe he'll actually kiss you this time," Megan exclaimed. I couldn't help but roll my eyes to Megan's response.

"Who says I want him to kiss me?" I stopped and asked, starting to get annoyed.

Why do they assume that I want anything to happen between us, he's just a guy that I once knew as my best friend. A guy who has now completely changed. Not to mention the mood swings, the coldness and the popularity.

Besides why would he ever want anyone like me. A loser. A nobody. Someone who is right at the bottom of the popularity pyramid. I am neither a beautiful cheerleader or social butterfly, what I am isn't exactly what interests someone like him.

"You're kidding right? Who doesn't want to be kissed by the fittest, most popular bad boy in the world??" Megan exclaimed.

"The world huh? You don't think you're exaggerating a bit?" I asked Megan with a small smile.

"Okay, maybe but you get what I mean!" She replied starting to giggle.

The day, as usual, dragged on forever and it was definitely nowhere near as eventful as the past few days have been.

"To yours or to mine?" Megan asked as we walked out of the school building.

"Yours obviously." I replied with a smile.

As fast as my smile appeared on my face, it disappeared. The sight of Alec's car in the parking lot made me stop in my tracks.

"What the hell is he doing here?" I thought out loud.

"Who?" Megan asked.

"Alec." I answered. I walked through the parking lot to where his car was parked.

"Why are you here?" I asked.

"You never got back to me, so I came to you. I just want to talk." He said offering a smile.

"Alright, talk." I replied dryly.

"Not here," he said. He was right, the school parking lot wasn't the best place to have a serious conversation.

"Where should we go then?" I asked.
