Finally.

I thought as I ran downstairs to open the door to collect my pizza delivery.

Being the lazy ass that I am I ordered take out instead of cooking food. Besides the weather is typical Sunday weather; cloudy and with a chance of rain, so I guess it was better for me to stay at home where it's warm and cozy.

I opened the door and saw someone who was definitely not my pizza delivery guy. It was Alec standing with his back to the door.

"Hi." He said plainly, turning around to face me. 'Hi.' Is that all he could come up with?

"Why are you here?" I asked. The last thing I want to do is talk to him after what he did.

"I wanted to apologize for what happened on Friday," he said looking down. I'm guessing that he was hiding his bruised face, which was all thanks to Dylan.

"Your apology doesn't mean anything to me." I spat bitterly.

"Look, I didn't want you to see what you did, but it happened and I am honestly sorry for what I did. That girl, she didn't mean anything to me. You do." He pleaded. I felt anger spreading through my body.  If I meant so much to him he wouldn't have cheated on me with some other girl.

"Oh so it would've been alright if I didn't see anything right?" I questioned.

"No, that's not what I meant. Just please let me ex-," Alec started, but was cut off by the pizza delivery guy.

"Um, one large cheese and pepperoni pizza." He said looking between me and Alec.

"Thank you," I said paying for it before he handed it over to me.

"Have a good day." He said politely and walked off to his bike.

"Please Lily, just let me explain," Alec pleaded again. Half of me wanted to let him explain but the other half was saying that he can wait until I finish my pizza.

"This isn't a good time. I'll text you when I find free time for you." With that I slammed the door in his face, not bothered to hear pathetic excuses.

~~~~~
"So you slammed the door in his face?" Megan asked as she was driving to school.
"Yep," I said, popping the P. I know that I shouldn't be proud of what I did but at the moment I couldn't feel any sympathy for him. After all I'm the one that he cheated on.
"That's my girl!" Megan yelled and I just shook my head.
"Anyway what excuse would he of given? I was drunk? I didn't know what I was doing?" she asked rhetorically.
"Can we talk about something else? I don't really want to think about him today," I asked and Megan nodded.
A few songs later we were getting out of Megan's car and walking across the school parking lot.
"You better hurry up and find a date for my sisters wedding because trust me you don't want to be paired with Harry or even worse John," she said referring to her aunts spoiled sons.
"Where do you suggest I look?" I asked sarcastically. Now that Alec is most definitely out of the picture, I have no one to take to the wedding, which sucks because even though I've never met Megan's cousins in person, the stories that I've heard about them give me the creeps.
"What about Dylan?" She suggested, wiggling her eyebrows in a funny way.
"Yeah sure, I'm just going to go up to one of the most popular boys in our high school, that every girl dreams of being with and just ask him to be my date to your sisters wedding and expect him to agree. I don't think so."
"Whatever but it wouldn't be so crazy would it? I mean there is definitely something going on between you guys," she smiled, stopping next to her locker.
"What? No!" I protested. Probably a little too loud because the people walking past turned around to give me weird looks.
"Fine." She said. "But by the way you freaked out, I'm convinced that there is." With that she walked away to her class leaving me to walk to math class alone.
There was still 10 minutes left until the bell rang, signalling for students to make their way to class meaning that I was going to have to sit like a creep by myself for that time.
The classroom was dark, the blinds hadn't been lifted and the lights were off. Not to mention it was getting darker and darker in the mornings.
As I opened the door and reached for the switch, a voice startled me.
"Don't." Someone's voice pierced through my ears. Although I was pretty sure that I knew who it belonged to.
"Dylan?" I called out. But there wasn't an answer so I proceeded to switch the lights on.
Dylan was sitting at his desk- or actually let me rephrase that, he was laying on his desk with his hands covering his head.
"What are you doing sitting in the dark?" I asked, finding it weird.
"Can't you see princess, I'm trying to get some sleep." He replied, his voice sounding raspier than usual.
"Okay, well you do realize that it's 8:20 and class starts in 10 minutes?" I questioned.
"Yes. Now can you switch the lights back off?" He asked not picking his head up from the table.
"Nope." I replied walking over to take a seat at my desk.
"Anyway why aren't you at home sleeping if you're that tired?" I asked, curious. It was unlike him to attend morning lessons.
"Trust me, home is the last place that I want to be." he said angrily. Now I was definitely interested, but before I could ask, Mr Stephenson walked into class. Surprisingly he was on time today.
All the students started flowing in shortly after Mr Stephenson came in.
"Mr Gray. Do you mind lifting you head up from the desk?" Mr Stephenson asked with an authoritative tone. Dylan didn't protest as I thought that he would he just let out an annoyed groan.
"Happy?" He asked, lifting his head from the table. Mr Stephenson as well as the rest of the class, stared at him in shock and then he just nodded.
His cheek was a dark blue color with a light yellow shade in the middle and his under eyes were turning dark purple.
What happened to him? Is this why he doesn't want to go home? Was it Alec?
Thoughts ran through my head like race cars competing for 1st place.
"What happened?" I whispered turning to face him. He didn't turn to face me instead he kept his eyes on the board that Mr Stephenson was writing on.
"Nothing that concerns you." He replied.
"Let me remind you that there is going to be mini test next Friday and I'm expecting everyone to show up." Mr Stephenson informed.
The class let out numerous groans and protests aimed at Mr Stephenson but everyone became silent when Dylan stood up from his seat and walked out of the class as if there wasn't still at least half an hour left.
I wanted to follow him but I remained in my seat because as he said before it was nothing that concerned me.
