Izanami stared at the white ceiling of her room, which now reminded her of the UA infirmary she had been in a few hours ago.

She had woken up to Aizawa sensei and recovery girl talking about some news and had instantly stiffened. Something which the mummy-man hadn't missed
but refrained from pointing out.

He decided upon inquiring about it some other day.

As for Izanami, as soon as recovery girl had given her the good to go, the blonde hand bolted from the place.

Now she clutched her sheets, staring up at the ceiling of her room while a silent tear slipped down her face.

She looked at the broken phone in her hand and scoffed, well shit.

The girl knew there would be missed calls and texts from her parents, and if they realised that her phone was inaccessible they'd probably email her , for a pep talk and to ask about her condition.

She sighed.
She knew they meant well, but the problem was that her parents wouldn't have the slightest clue for what had occurred, the only one who would, being her grandmother.

And that wasn't something she wanted her mind to drift off to.

In conclusion, although Izanami loved her parents, their words would feel more of a jab rather than a warm caress if she were to be bombarded with it right now.

Moreover, the girl was exhausted like hell and her laptop was far away from her reach, leading the girl to call it a day as she drifted of into a pool of memories.

The next day of hers started of at 1 at noon.
Rather rare occurrence for a surprisingly early bird as her but well it's also a rare occurrence to come by such news.

After having a quick shower , the girl proceeded to reply back to all her parents texts and mustered the courage to go on the net, only to come across an equally devastating news for her classmate.

I have a bad feeling about this.
Chief always spoke of his brother in extremely high regards and she knew Iida admired him the most.

So the girl went back to sleep.
Too much stress.

It was 6:30pm now and the current predicament Izanami was in was that all the instant ramen packs at her house were over.

And that was precisely the reason she was on her way to the grocery store when she noticed a certain heterochromatic boy making his way to the same store.

Fuck. She groaned
I'm too tired for this. Should i go back? what's another day of starvation?

However, Todoroki had already noticed her so she just went along , completely taken by surprise when he spoke up,

"Sorry."

Blink.

"What?"

"I hadn't meant to underestimate or insult you during our match. It was simply conflicting to use my fire" Todoroki said , with surprising sincerity

Neither had the girl missed the my in his sentence but she wasn't one to point it out

"Thanks?"
"Broccoli did a real number on you to get your etiquette straight."

"Yes." she sweat dropped. no hesitation.
"But I was always well mannered."

Izanami made a show of rolling her eye says before saying, "sure"

"Even I can sense the sarcasm in that" Todoroki said, in a slight accusatory tone

"Good."

They finally entered the store and found themselves in the same aisle

Fate~ or not.

Todoroki was contemplating whether this was a good time to ask her about what happened during the sports festival.

"Stop following me."

"I'm not."

It was true, he wasn't.

"Stalker."

"Why were you holding back during our match?"

"As if you have any right to say." Izanami scoffed.

The boy just just nodded.
He hesitated, before asking,

"Are you good now?"

The blonde just gave him a look, not understanding his question,

"You fainted. Before your finals,"

He figured it would not be a good idea to point out her broken phone or how evident it was that she had some sort of breakdown.

Atleast, to him.
Experience,thanks to his old man.

"Oh, yeah . It was nothing,"

Lie.

"Probably dehydrated or something "

Todoroki narrowed his eyes, obviously not buying it.

He then continued on with his task before suddenly blurting,

"Do you like cold soba or hot ?"

Wow. quick change.

"Never had it."

"That's ridiculous !" for the first time in the while she had known him, she saw him worked up about something that wasn't related to his dad or the hatred he had for him.

I mean, he quite fucking literally exclaimed, now looking at her as if she didn't know what 1+1 is,

boy-

She shrugged, " I'm a spicy Ramen type"

For some reason, the thought of anyone rather
her not having tried soba before didn't sit well with the heterochromatic boy, so although uncharacteristically, he struck a deal

"As a form of reconciliation, we should try each other's favourite; you should have cold soba and i'll have ramen."

That sounded about right in his mind. (hmph?)

"I'd rather an apology from you but okay" she sighed

Both were then off their ways with the ramen , Soba switch
