Chp 20~Swimming

Pepermint 🇨🇦

Me: I'm craving soba- you wanna join?

Pepermint: Don't we have a plan to go swimming with the class today?

Me: forgot. nvm then

Pepermint: We can go afterwards..

Me: you ain't got training with flameshit in evening?

Pepermint: He can wait.

Me: aw cool

Me: wait, when are you leaving?

Pepermint: In about half an hour

Me: I'll be there then

Pepermint: ?

"Did you miss me?" Izanami asked nudging his shoulder,

"We met  yesterday for training,"

"Still, you should miss me. My presence is too precious for you to not to."

"Is it?"

"Wah- Here I was thinking you became more tolerable but you're as rude as ever,"

"I don't think I was ever rude."

"Think again then. God, the first time we met you dragged me into that petty argument with the weirdly energetic dude"

"It- It wasn't petty. Are you siding with him right now?" Todoroki said, narrowing his eyes

She shook her head, sighing

"Why am I friends with you again?"

"How would be a better question when I think about it." she corrected,

"I should be the one saying that-"

"Sure, boy, sure- that's what you say everytime. Maybe its about time you actually start saying it, you know, before I do."

"You-" He looked away, hands crossed.

"Rude twat."

"I heard that, princess."

"Tsk."

"OH MY GOD HOw could I forget-"

"What? did you try cooking again and left the stove on?"

"Hey- that was just twice-"

"Just." he repeated mockingly, a hint of a smile on his face.

"Like you're any better,"

"Easily better than you though," he retorted, shrugging

"Oh fuck off- I'm changing your name back to princess-"

"Why- Back? you had my name saved as princess?"

"Yup," she replied, popping the p

Now it was his turn to sigh, "Have you ever considered saving people's names as their names?"

"Nope."

A couple of seconds of silence and he halted in his tracks,

"What?" she questioned, turning around

"Are you and Bakugo secretly related?"

She blinked.

"You're being serious right now?"

Icy hot- metalhead-Deku-shitty hair-glasses-dunceface-racooneyes

Pepermint-princess-canada, hedgehog- brocolli-chief- emochick

"Yes."

"Im sorr-" she couldn't contain her laughter anymore,

Patting his back, still laughing- the two moved forward.

Todoroki, however, still remained confused to what was so funny.

"Izanami san!" The girls waved her over, whereas Midoriya approched the boy

"Todoroki kun, you're here!"

The girls watched as the boys in their class competed against each other to decide who is the fastest swimmer.

Izanami and Jiro were discussing about some new album when Mina and Hagakure, who thanks to her swimsuit was visible came up to them,

"So, Izanami what's up with you and Todoroki over there," She started, wiggling her eyebrows suggestively

"You and pretty boy a dating yet?"

The blonde tensed up without meaning to, but she could feel how her shoulders had rolled back and back tightened at the question.

"Huh? why would we ?"

"Because you're together all the time!"

A pit started to form in her stomach, uneasiness rolling off her body.

"No we are not." She argued, but ofcourse Mina Ashido won't let it be.

"Yes. yes you are! Aren't they, girls?" she looked back to see a couple of them nodding.

Suddenly she felt her hand get grabbed,

Hahakure.

"So!? No need to be shy, spill the beans!"

Were these people even close enough to me to even talk about this?

"And you talk with Todoroki kun the most and vice versa kero,"

"Yes! Yes!"

"Also, earlier you two were having a water fight in the pool!" Uraraka pointed out,

"Yeah you two looked like you were really enjoying yourselves too!"

"Yeah like you two were-"

"Guys, you're making her uncomfortable," Jirou spoke up, cutting Hagakure off

"Yeah, it's not nice to be intrusive about people's people's romantic feelings like that!" Momo agreed.

Izanami was aware the ravenette was speaking in her favour. She was aware Momo meant good. She was just unlucky to be the last one to speak.
Because Izanami's mind was a blur, sudden realisations taking place. Unwanted memories flooding in.

"There are no romantic feelings involved!" she stomped her foot , before picking up her bag and pulling over a button up over her now dry swimsuit and stormed out

She did not have feelings for Todoroki Shoto.
And thanks to the nosy behaviour of her classmates, she would never let it get far enough for her to
fall for him.

It hit her like a truck.
Was I on a path straight back to hell?

It's not that the two couldn't be friends. Prior to her classmates pointing it out, she didn't even consciously see him from a romantic point of view.

But then she recalled stealing glances at him today; shirtless and fine as hell.

Izanami Ryoko found Todoroki Shoto attractive.

And although she didn't view him in that sense, there was a possibility that she could.

A possibility, she could not entertain.
A possibility, she could never bring herself to entertain.
