The heterochromatic boy's eyes snapped up upon hearing the door to his waiting room slam open, his thoughts disrupted.

After having an encounter with his father in the hallway, the rush of freedom he felt during his match with Midoriya had started dissipating.

He was up against Izanami next. She was strong, he acknowledged that but currently he was stuck in a dilemma.

A dilemma which she apparently didn't give a single fuck about.

"Use your fire."

It was a command. Not a suggestion, nor a request.
And for some reason unbeknownst to him, there was a tinge of fury in her voice.

It took the boy a minute to process the simple statement. And his first instinct, was to send her a cold glare. One which she returned back, twice as cold.

"Huh?"

"Use your fire." she repeated, turning around as the two were called upon.

"THE KID WHO'S SET ON WRECKING THE STADIUM AFTER EACH FIGHT: TODOROKI SHOTO VS THE GIRL WHO HASN'T BROKEN A SINGLE SWEAT ALL HER FIGHTS: IZANAMI RYOKO. BOTH FROM 1A!"

Despite the girl's request-err- command.
Todoroki decided to still not use his fire.

"I thought broccoli fix your daddy issues already, did you bounce back to it?"

"You don't know anything- " he said anger coating his words, before launching another onslaught of ice on the girl.

It was a lie. He was aware of it.
Although, minus the part of his scar- he knew she overheard some of it during recommendations and he himself had told her most of it last week at her house while they completed their project.

However, what he couldn't quite figure was why it frustrated her so much. He had a feeling she didn't mock him just out of spite for roping her into the 'argument' with that blockhead.

She had an advantage right now.
Unlike Midoriya, she had a much higher chance to beat him. But she was prolonging the fight.
Purposefully, at that.

He narrowed his eyes, giving her a cold glare but said nothing.

"I don't quite appreciate being looked down upon, Candy Cane"

Bullshit.

Izanami knew he wasn't looking down on her.
She knew it was his internal strife keeping him from using his fire.

But, She didn't care.

If it wasn't the sports festival, it would likely be never.

He needed another shove.

She knew, because she failed to do it before.
But that won't happen again. Be it a friend or a foe.

She didn't care if he used it for the whole fight;
Just once.

She needed to force him to use his fire again just once.

"I don't know what you mean by that" replied Todoroki, throwing a kick in her direction

"Oh for fucksake," the girl rolled her eyes, dodging the blow easily
