Chp 5~ Instincts

"Don't get in my way," Todoroki stated harshly

"That's my line, princess." The Izanami clipped back, just as they both got into action.

Over the last few days, the two hadn't conversed with each other at all; efficiently ignoring each other's existence. And though some of their classmates noticed the absence of their insults and retorts back and forth, none commented on it.

The ride to USJ wasn't eventful either, minus the Pomeranian getting roasted by a few and them then getting death threats back.

Pretty uneventful till the students of 1a actually reached the designated place,

"Those are real villains." Aizawa sensei stated grimly as he told the students to step back and started giving out instructions.

Everyone becoming alert at that,

"Sensei, don't we have a tress-passing sensor?" Yayorozu enquired

"But of course we do," the pro hero thirteen replied

"Meaning that they either have someone with a quirk that can disable them or get past it without being sensed," Izanami pointed out

Most likely the latter being the mist dude"
A few others glancing at that direction; Bakugo seemingly analysing him.

"Did they only appear here or the whole school?" Todoroki mused out

The orders to run ended up being futile since the students were warped before they could get out.
Well except for Iida, who was currently their only hope for alerting the other teachers at UA

Izanami formed a semi-large metal arm to even her fall; balancing herself, she got into a fighting stance.

After taking down a dozen of villains by themselves,
Both the parties involved in the library fiasco-if you could even call it one realised they were in the same zone when both ended up coming back-to-back while fighting,

In the past few days, both had concluded that the other was completely irrelevant to them, thus, continuing on with their life and ignoring whatever little sense in them called them out for being petty.

They still ignored each other till they couldn't.

In the midst of the fight, out of the corner for her eye, Izanami noticed a villain lunge at Todoroki from behind with a fucking machete in his hand.

Instantly she formed a throwing knife in her hand, hurling it towards the villain. It slashed his arm
causing the machete to drop from the attacker's grip as he yelled out in pain.

Just then, an ice shard flew past her.

Both Izanami and Todoroki's eyes widened imperceptibly as they noticed their attackers behind them being taken down by the other,

"Thanks"
"Thanks"

Within minutes, all the villain in their zone were defeated and they heard one of them call them 'Monsters'

The girl scoffed, "Weaklings" she said, disdain coating her voice

"Aren't you embarrassed to lose to children? You're adults. Put up a real fight" Todoroki commented

Izanami looked over to the scene in front of her,

Candycane had frozen a villain and was threatening him with hyperthermia to make the latter spit out their plan.

Of course the girl had to join in ,

"If that doesn't scare you, want me to crush all your bones to dust? Much faster." she chirped in and shrugged. Bringing up two metal chains and having them wrap around the villain.
