All the excitement of fighting Bakugo and the satisfaction of getting candy cane to use his fire
vanished in an instant;
Izanami's hand quivered as she held her phone.
Her eyes were glued to the screen as her breaths became shallower. She didn't know how long she had been in the bathroom stall or why she was affected by it.
They deserved it.
She thought to herself, chanting it in her mind again and again and again.
They deserved it. They deserved it. They deserved it.
Her name was being called by Present mic.
It was time for the final match, but she couldn't bring herself to leave.
Her eyes were glued to the screen before her.
At first, there was confusion, followed by anger so fierce she threw her phone on the ground, hand in her hair, messing it up as she tried to control the pounding of her head.
But alas, it was to no prevail.
She then noticed the article continuing further and picked up her now-damaged phone.
And then there were tears.
Followed by more.
Her emotions were a mess.
And eventually the voices overwhelmed her, and the girl drifted into unconsciousness.
Bakugo was getting restless as he tapped his feet waiting for her. There were whispers echoing throughout the stands.
Her classmates, including Midoriya who got a go from Recovery girl and Todoroki were looking for her.
Yaoyurozu and Jiro eventually ended up finding her,
"Izanami san," the ravenette called out
"Are you here? the match is about to start. We're all getting concerned."
Receiving no response from the blonde, the two teens glanced at each other.
Jiro used her earjacks to locate any sound of breathing and stopped on one stall, just then Yaoyorozu spotted the girls cracked phone
The girl knocked on the door, while the other informed the class and their teacher,

Earjacks: we think we found her
Zero gravity: Thank god!
Earjacks: she's unconscious and her phone's
cracked

Alien queen: OMG IS SHE GOOD??
Earjacks: she's not hurt if that's what y'all mean.

The pro hero narrowed his eyes upon hearing of his unconscious student before signing as he to announced that the girl had forfeited due to personal reasons, declaring Bakugo as the winner.
The boy however, did not take it well.
And that showed during the award ceremony.
Now, the entirety of 1a was standing outside the infirmary, concerned for their classmate whose reason for fainting was unbeknownst to all.
The irony of it being, that the only person who could have an inkling of an idea was himself, going through an unfortunate ordeal.
"How is she doing?" asked a worried Uraraka, resonating everyone's thoughts. Including a fuming ash-blonde and a conflicted heterochromatic teen.
Recovery girl waved of their worries,
"She's fine. I believe the exhaustion of her last fight must've taken a toll on her,"
"Bullshit" Bakugo scoffed
"She wasn't even going all out on icy hot!"
The boy was thoroughly pissed that he came first only because his opponent fainted due to whatever bullshit reason,
He didn't care.
He just wanted to beat her fair and square.
Bakugo REFUSED to acknowledge it as a win.
"Well, we don't know that for sure do we, now?"
Some of them hummed, nodding along while her previous opponent interjected,
"She was definitely holding back." he stated.
"Whether she was or wasn't doesn't matter," a monotonous voice called out from behind them
A few of the students flinching at the sudden arrival of their homeroom teacher, who continued
"All of you go back to your homes and rest. If the girl wakes up, she'll go back to fainting after seeing everyone"
"Ouch" Mina mumbled
"But,sensei-"
"Home. Now."
The ash-blonde was the first to turn around and leave. Rematch will have to wait till the next time he meets the extra and after a few murmurings of take care, the rest followed as well.
A certain heterochromatic boy lingered a couple of moments more before approaching the bandaged-up man and handing her the girls phone which he had taken from Yaoyurozu to inspect the damage and try to figure out what had happened,
"Sensei, her phone" he said as he gave the cracked phone to the dark-haired man who nodded before taking the phone and raising an eyebrow in question as his eyes glazed over the damage
Todoroki just shrugged as in response before bowing his head slightly in respect and leaving as his thoughts.
However, none could figure the true reason of the ordeal, for the news which led one of their classmates to a breakdown was overshadowed by the news which led another one of their classmates to a different-type of breakdown.
To say the Somei kids were having a shit day, would be a whole another level of an understatement.
