It was truly insane how quick everything was moving after an eight year engagement. The wedding that they had been planning on having for years was in no way like the one that they were scrambling to put together.

They run hand and hand through the hospital with big, giddy smiles on their faces. They get the occasional glare from doctors and patients alike as they pull each other along. It seems like they've run through the whole hospital when they finally find Steve talking to a beautiful woman. Steve looks over at their love drunk expression and raises an eyebrow.

"So I take it you worked everything out?" Steve asks.

"You could say that," Bucky says.

Lizzie looks over and sees the woman staring at the trio. Lizzie looks at Steve who has a nervous expression on his face and she has a good idea of who this woman is. Lizzie clears her throat and gestures with her eyes over to the woman. Luckily, Steve decided to take the hint.

"Oh, Lizzie, this is Peggy. Peggy, this is my twin sister Elizabeth," Steve says.

Peggy reaches out a hand and shakes Lizzie's.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Elizabeth," she says with a tight smile.

"Oh, call me Lizzie. Pretty much everyone does except for Jaime," she says.

Peggy raises an eyebrow at Bucky.

"Jaime?" She asks with a smirk.

"Only she gets to call me that," he says gruffly.

"Very well," Peggy responds.

Lizzie turns her full attention to Steve while Bucky pulls her closer to his side.

"We're getting married, Steve," Lizzie says.

"Yeah, I know. I've known for eight years now. Well, actually longer since Buck asked my permission first," Steve says.

"No, now. Today if we can," Bucky says.

"Are you pregnant?" Steve asks.

They all fall silent and stare at Steve. It takes him a few seconds to realize that that wasn't the most intelligent question.

"Right. Not pregnant. But still, why now?" Steve asks.

Don't get him wrong, Steve has wanted them to get married for years. It always made him a little uncomfortable that they were so comfortable just being engaged. It made no sense to him because they were engaged and in love so why couldn't they just get married? He had asked this question to them many times throughout the years and none of their answers seemed a real reason to him. To him it was simple: you loved someone and wanted to spend the rest of your life with them? Then you marry them. But it's their life and their choice so they could do as they will.

"I thought I was going to die in that place. Now she's here and any of us can die at any moment. All the reasons we didn't get married yet don't really apply anymore. We love each other and for the possibly short amount of time that we have left, I want to be her husband," Bucky says.

Steve smiles widely and pulls the two most important people in the world to him, into his arms.

"I wish we weren't in an active war zone for this but as long as I have you two by my side, it'll be perfect," Lizzie says.

They all pull apart but almost instantly Lizzie's smile drops.

"By chance do either of you know how one goes about getting married in a foreign country that is in war?" Lizzie asks.

Bucky and Steve's smile drop as well at her question. Leave it to Lizzie to realize the glaring issues in their plans. The trio feels the disappointment settle on them but Lizzie feels cheated most of all. She's hardly ever spontaneous. She usually is the one to plan out all their adventures to a tee. She overthink and reevaluates constantly which is why her and Bucky work so well. She thinks too much and sometimes he doesn't think enough so they balance each other perfectly. However, Lizzie has always envied Bucky for being such a free spirit. It's devastating to her that the one time she chooses spontaneity, the logistics get in the way.
