Their journey to the church that they were going to be married in was fairly quick. When they step out of the car, Lizzie can't help but think how perfect it is. There's no settlements in the immediate vicinity and is smack in the center of a wooded area. It looks like something out of a dream and feels like this place was designed specifically for them. This place and this moment was only there's.

"It's perfect," Lizzie exhales.

"Yeah," Bucky says.

In truth, the place didn't matter a lick to him. They could be getting married anywhere and it would be perfect because he was marrying her. He was marrying the love of his life and there was nothing more perfect than that.

Almost immediately though, Peggy is pulling Lizzie away and towards the trunk before pulling out a garment bag.

"Your suit is in there, Barnes," she says.

"Suit?" Bucky questions.

"What did you think you'd marry in?" She asks.

He gestures to what he was wearing and she gives a scoff.

"Of course that's what you'd think. No matter. This wedding is not traditional in any sense but at least you'll look like a groom," she says.

She begins guiding Lizzie away but Lizzie quickly tells her to wait before rushing in to his arms.

"I would have married you in an abandoned warehouse in a tshirt and slacks, for the record," she whispers in his ear before kissing his cheek. She runs off to follow Peggy after throwing him one last smile over her shoulder.

Howard leaves soon after to sort out the priest while Steve and Bucky get ready. Luckily, Howard and Bucky were roughly the same size so the suit fit nicely. Since Steve was now bigger than both of them, he wasn't able to button the jacket but he managed still.

"You ready?" Steve asks.

"I honestly don't think I've ever been so ready in my life. I'm scared, of course. We're in a war right now and either of us could be widows tomorrow. But marrying your sister? Nothing has ever felt so right."

"I'm so happy for you guys," Steve says.

And he is. He's so happy for them but he's worried. He wants them to spend the rest of their lives together. He wants nieces and nephews that are half Lizzie and half Bucky. He wants them to die old and surrounded by family. He vows in that moment to make sure that that reality gets actualized even if it means his own life.

The door suddenly opens and both men spin to face it. Peggy walks through and Steve can't help but notice how beautiful she looks. He can't help but hope that maybe she feels something for him too. However, all that will have to wait because he has a sister to give away.

"The priest is here and ready to start. Also, you better prepare yourself, Barnes because she looks beautiful," Peggy says.

"She always is," he says with a love sick grin.

Peggy brings Bucky in to the main part of the chapel where the priest is waiting before bringing Steve in to the back where Lizzie is waiting. When he sees his sister, he is floored with how Peggy dressed her up in a war zone.

Lizzie had a simple, white dress on that complimented her small frame. Her hair was down and she had weaved flowers in her hair. Even her makeup was skillfully done. Lizzie looked like a fairytale princess who just finished traipsing through the woods.

"You look beautiful, Lizzie," he says.

"Peggy did a good job," she says shakily.

He knows his sister better than he knows himself and he can tell something is up.
