Tribute to mike

Jermaine POV
It's Saturday morning and I'm laying in bed my baby I was so happy to have her home we were in New York I was so happy to have her back home and the kids were so happy to have mama home we all missed her so much as happy as we were to have her home I knew today was going to be difficult for my baby today she was performing and paying tribute to Michael at the video music awards tonight she has been working hard and rehearsing with the kids since she's been back and I couldn't wait to watch my baby take the stage and kill it I pulled my baby closer to me cuddling her kissing her head I get up and go downstairs to make breakfast for my family Jermaine washes his hands and puts on a pot of coffee he takes stuff out to make breakfast he turns on Michael's music on his phone
After 20 mins janet comes downstairs with the kids she puts the twins in their high chairs as Skylar and Matteo say hi to Jermaine
Skylar: good morning daddy
Matteo: good morning daddy
They hug janet
Matteo: good morning mama
Skylar: good morning mama
Jan: good morning my babies
Jermaine: good morning babies you guys go wash your hands
They run to wash their hands as janet stands there
Jermaine: come here love
She comes up to him
Jan: baby can you turn this off please
Jermaine: yeah baby of course *he turns it off*
Jan: I'm sorry baby it's just hard
Jermaine: no baby I'm sorry *he kisses her* how are you feeling about tonight *he looks at her*
Jan: I'm just it's a lot even rehearsals have been a lot seeing him on the big screens *she looks at him*
Jermaine: I know it is baby you've got this your so strong baby you can do this
Jan: *she wraps her arms around him looking at him*
Jan: I don't know if I can baby
Jermaine: you've got this baby *he looks at her* and your not alone I'm here
Jan: I know you are baby and you've been such an amazing support to me you've gone above and beyond for me right now when I need you most been the best husband and the best father ever
Jermaine: I got you my love always you hungry you need to eat something
The kids sit at the table
Skylar: thank you daddy
Matteo: thank you daddy
As Janet sits down the twins start to cry through the monitor
Jan: I'll grab them
Janet gets up going upstairs the the nursery she she changes both the twins diapers and then sits down to feed them she starts with Scarlett
As janet feeds the twins she starts to cry she didn't want to cry in front of Jermaine she knew today was going to be hard for her but she wanted to make mike proud she missed him so much
After 40 mins she finishes coming back downstairs she goes in the living room to sit with her family
Skylar: yay mama is back
Janet sits the twins in their chairs
Janet kisses Skylar and Matteo head
Jermaine: you good baby *he looks at her*
She doesn't answer
Skylar: mama
She still doesn't answer
Jermaine looks at her and sees she's zoned out
Jermaine: baby
Jan: yeah baby *she looks at him*
Jermaine: you okay you were zoned out
Jan: what no I wasn't
Jermaine: yeah you were
Jan: I'm fine baby
Jermaine: you sure
Jan: yeah I'm fine
Janet and Jermaine spend most of the day hanging out with their children it's now 5pm
Janet comes downstairs dressed and goes in the living room
Matteo: mama where you going
Skylar: yeah mama
Jan: mama has to go to work
Matteo: but it's Sunday mama
Jan: I know baby but mama has to work just for a little bit I promise *she looks at them*
Skylar: then you come home right mama *she looks at her*
Jan: right baby
Matteo: mama do we get to go this time *he looks at her*
Jan: I don't know babies mama was thinking you guys should stay with daddy
Skylar: please mama *she looks at her*
Jan: *she looks at Jermaine*
Matteo: we'll be good
Jan: you guys go play let me talk to daddy
They run to go play
Jan: *she looks at Jermaine* love what do you think
Jermaine: I mean they seem to really want to see mama on stage
Jan: I mean lucky mother and your parents are here with us they can watch the twins
Jermaine: yeah they can i can call my parents right now
Jermaine gets in the phone with his parents while janet gets on the phone with Katherine after a few mins they all agree to come and stay and watch the twins
(1 hour later)
Katherine joe pat and Michael have arrived at janet and Jermaine's house
Janet and Jermaine make sure the twins are okay and their parents have everything they need for them
Jermaine: tay tay Skylar you guys ready
Matteo: yeah
Skylar: yeah daddy we're ready
Jan: you guys have your jackets
They run upstairs and grab their jackets Jermaine grabs their backpacks packing things for them
Janet kisses the twins
Jan: mama loves you
Jermaine: *he kisses the twins* daddy loves you
Katherine: you guys be careful
Jan: we will mother we'll see you guys when we get back
Pat: okay love you guys
Jermaine: love you guys to
Jan: love you guys to
Skylar: love you
Matteo: love you
They leave the house and get in the car and head to the venue
After 30 mins they arrive Joey gets out first he opens the door as Jermaine gets out first as the kids get out he takes the two jackets he brought blocking them from cameras as janet gets out and goes around the paparazzi yells
Janet Janet Jermaine let us see your children
Joey rushed them inside he takes them to Janet's dressing room they set up for her
(10:35pm)
It's now time for the tribute to Michael janet is now dressed in her outfit
Jan: bye my babies I love you *she kisses Matteo and kisses Skylar*
Jermaine: bye baby *he kisses her*
Jan: *she breathes out looking at him*
Jermaine: you've got this baby *he holds her looking in her eyes he kisses her* I'm so proud of you baby
Jan: thank you baby
Jermaine: go kill it I love you we love you
Matteo: love you mama
Skylar: love you mama
After a few minutes janet is in position Jermaine takes the kids to were they can see they stand on the side of the stage but where no one can see them then all of a sudden they hear glass break and they see Janet come out
Skylar: look daddy it's mama *she points*
Jermaine: yeah baby there's mama
Matteo: go mama *he smiles*
Jermaine takes his phone out recording his wife
Skylar: go mama yay
Jermaine watches their children get so excited watching Jan
He records them dancing to Janet
After a few mins janet is done she goes backstage and is met by her babies and her amazing husband  with a huge bouquet of roses in his hand clapping for her
Ciara: Awwl this is so cute
Jan: hi my babies
Matteo: good job mama
Jermaine: tell mama good job mama *he whispers in Skylar ear*
Skylar: good job mama
Jan: Awwl thank you my babies *she hugs them*
Jermaine: you did amazing baby so proud of you *he looks at her*
Jan: thank you baby *she smiles at him she can see how proud he is of her*
Matteo: mama daddy got you flowers
Jan: your so sweet
Jermaine: these are for you from all of us *he kisses the top of her head*
Jan: thank you baby all of my babies *she smiles*
They all go to Janet's dressing room she she can shower and get changed so they can go
Skylar: mama I'm hungry
Matteo: me to
Jan: okay hold on babies
Jermaine: babe I'll get them some food you go get in the shower
Jan: thank you love *she looks at him smiling*
Jermaine: you guys stay here with mama and uncle Joey I'll be right back
Jermaine goes and grabs food for his family while janet gets in the shower
After a few mins he comes back and sits down giving the kids their plates and Joey a plate
Joey: thank you Jermaine
Matteo: thank you daddy *he grabs Jermaine's and Skylar hand*
Skylar: thank you daddy
Jermaine: we have to do what first
Skylar: pray
Jermaine: that's right baby
They pray for their food and then start to eat
After 20 mins janet comes out of the shower dressed she sits down with Jermaine Joey and the kids
Jermaine: baby I got you a plate
Jan: thank you baby
Jermaine: your welcome baby
After 20 mins they are in the car headed home
Skylar: daddy
Jermaine: *he looks in the mirror* yes baby
Skylar: can we get ice cream
Jermaine: it's late baby
Skylar: please mama can we get ice cream
Jan: not tonight baby
Matteo: please mama
Jan: it's late baby tomorrow we'll get ice cream okay
Matteo: okay
Skylar: okay
They drive home they pull up to the house getting out of the truck
Jermaine opens Janet's door and then gets the kids out of the car he locks the truck up and goes inside they lock the door setting the alarm the house is quiet they go upstairs
Jan: tay tay Skylar put your nightgowns on
They go to put their nightgowns as they do janet and Jermaine go to the twins nursery
They push the door open and see Katherine and pat and Michael and joe sitting with the twins
Jan: hey everyone
They all say hi
Jan: we're they okay
Katherine: yes they were great
Pat: they were really good
Jan: thank you guys so much for watching them
Joe: you killed it tonight baby so proud of you
Jan: thank you *she smiles*
Jermaine: we can take over from here so you guys can get out of here
Jan: yeah
Pat: do you guys need us to stay
Janet looks at Jermaine
Katherine: baby can I have a word *she looks at her*
They go to Janet and Jermaine's room
Katherine: baby are you okay
Jan: it's just a lot mother today was alot the last few months have been a lot *she looks at her*
Katherine: baby you know it's okay not to be okay right
Jan: yes I know mother
Katherine: you can talk to me you can talk to Jermaine
Jan: I know Jermaine has been such a huge help to me his been there for me loving on me I'm so thankful for him
Katherine: please make sure you ask for help baby if you need help *she looks at her*
Jan: I will mother I promise I love you
Katherine: baby
Jan: yes mother
Katherine: everything is going to be okay I promise we're going to get through this as a family
Jan: yes we will mother
Meanwhile with Jermaine he has just gotten the twins down to sleep he goes in Matteo's room
Jermaine: alright big boy teo come on bed time
He runs and gets in his bed
Jermaine tucks him in he kisses his head
Matteo: daddy
Jermaine: yes baby
Matteo: is mama still sad
Jermaine: a little bit baby yeah
Matteo: can you make mama happy again please
Jermaine: of course baby
Jermaine reads Matteo a bed time story after 20 mins he starts to fall asleep
Jermaine: goodnight baby daddy loves you
Matteo: goodnight daddy love you to where's mama
Jermaine: I'll go get her
Jermaine goes to get janet he stops at the door of his and Janet's room he puts his ear to the door and hears Janet and Katherine he hears Janet crying he knocks opening the door
Jermaine: sorry
Jan: *she whips her face* hey baby
Jermaine: um love Matteo wants mama
Jan: okay
Janet gets up and goes to Matteo room as Jermaine gets ready to walk out Katherine grabs him
Katherine: Jermaine can I have a word
Jermaine: sure
Katherine: can you please keep an eye on Jan
Jermaine: yeah of course is she okay I saw her crying when I walked in
Katherine: she misses mike today was very  hard for her
Jermaine: yeah I know she told me before we left that she wasn't sure she could do it
Katherine: but she did amazing I'm so proud of her
Jermaine: me to I was thinking about maybe doing a pampering day for her soon
Katherine:  actually I think she would love that alright we're going to get out of here
Jermaine: it's late you guys stay here get comfortable please
Katherine: thank you Jermaine
Jermaine: your welcome
Jermaine goes to Skylar room where his parents and joe are
Jermaine: um you guys please make yourselves comfortable it's late you guys are staying with us tonight
Jan: yes please make yourself comfortable
After 30 mins Jermaine and janet are laying bed in silence Jermaine knew janet was having a hard time
Jermaine: you okay baby
Jan: I'm okay this is just what I needed cuddles with my baby
Jermaine: I got you baby *he kisses her head*
Jan: I love you
Jermaine: I love you to baby please let me know when your not feeling okay
Jan: I will baby I feel okay right now because I have you *she cuddles into him more*
Jermaine: *he pulls the blankets up on them more*
After 40 mins they both fall asleep

The twins stayed with Katherine and Jermaine's parents
