Hawk walks down the street as the moon hangs overhead. He notices how the people of Honnō didn't necessarily mind living in such slums. He found it quite confusing.

Vergil(mental): "Well, today was certainly eventful."

Dante(mental): "Gotta love the first day of school."

Hawk(mental): "Yes, well, I doubt it'll be any less crazy tomorrow."

???: "Hey." Hawk stops and turns to see an unkempt man in a button shirt and black tie.

Hawk: "Can I help you?"

???: "You go to the Academy, right?"

Hawk: "Uh...yeah."

Aikūro: "Cool, 'cause I'm one of the teachers. Aikūro Mikisugi. I just wanted to make sure you have a place to sleep tonight. You look like a deer in headlights. You do have a place to sleep tonight, right?"

Hawk: "I guess not. Kinda thought they'd have student dorms."

Aikūro: "Hah, the Kiryuuins are rich but not charitable. Come on in. You can crash on my couch." Aikūro opens up the door to his dinky apartment.

Entering the apartment, Hawk was expecting it to at least be livable, but the standard he thought would be the case wasn't. The kitchen was approximately 2 feet from the couch Hawk would be sleeping on. The "couch" was at least able to be large enough for him to sleep comfortably, but Hawk would have to fight the apartment for room to live.

Aikūro: "Home sweet, home in the wall."

Hawk: "It's uh...-"

Dante(mental): "A trash heap."

Vergil(mental): "An affront to the concept of a home."

Hawk: "-habitable."

Aikūro: "Yeah. It's not much, but at least you got a place to sleep. You can set your stuff on the couch, and ill see about scrounging up some grub for us."

Hawk sets his bag down by the couch and slowly sits down on the couch. He feared plopping himself on it would send him through the floor.

Aikūro: "What's your name?"

Hawk: "Hawk Branwen. I'm a transfer from the States."

Aikūro: "Really? I never met one of you guys before. What brings you to Honnō and, more importantly, Honnouji Academy?"

Hawk: "Always wanted to visit Japan, and Honnouji would pay for the trip as long as I actually participated in the school curriculum."

Aikūro: "Interesting. And they didn't teach you about the Kiryuuin family in the States?"
