Hawk yells as he shoots up from the mat he had slept on in Shiro's living room. The sound of a blaring horn rang through the city. His eyes darted around the room as he held Omen in his left hand, ready to cut down any would-be attacker. He tenses as the door to the living room opens, and Shiro hazily walks out in a set of pajamas.
Shiro: "*yawn* Good morning Mister Branwen. I see the siren woke you up as well." Shiro enters the small kitchen and begins making a batch of coffee.
Hawk: "What, the hell, was that?" Hawk groans as he stands up. Setting Omen down as he wipes his eyes as he too yawns.
Shiro: "That would be the siren signaling the beginning of "No Tardies Day". It's a specific day within the school in which the No-Stars cannot be late to their first class, or they will be immediately expelled."
Dante(mental): "That seems rather extreme."
Vergil(mental): "Dante, we just fought a girl in a battle outfit that barely covered her in a fight to the death."
Hawk(mental): "And that was before the first period."
Hawk: "No Tardy Day? That can't be too bad." Hawk looks out the window to see an explosion from the slums of Honno. "I stand corrected."
Shiro: "The Disciplinary Committee designs an obstacle course for the No-Star students to complete. From what I've seen, it's rather grueling and extreme."
Hawk: "And explosive from what I can see. So we don't have to worry about it?"
Shiro: "No. Perks of your new position. For now, all you have to worry about is the backlash from Lady Satsuki and the Elite Four once they find out about your new position."
Hawk: "Great, can't wait."
After the two have breakfast Hawk goes about getting into his uniform, more specifically, his new artificial Kamui. Putting it on, he feels the jacket slightly tighten up. Almost as though it was hugging him, he had felt this sensation the day before but brushed it off as he fought Satsuki. But now that he had no other distractions, he could actually pay attention to the strange clothing he now wore. With every breath he took, it felt as though the jacket mimicked. He could feel little pricks along his arms, he could tell it was trying to get to his blood, but that was something Hawk wasn't going to let happen.
Leaving the apartment, they casually walk through the upperclassmen district. Hawk could feel the stares from all around him. This put him on edge rather quickly, it was almost as though the entire district was going to pounce on him at any moment. If it did happen, he was confident he would come out victorious, but it was a fight he wasn't necessarily in the mood for.
Shiro: "No need to worry. They won't dare try and fight you. If they lose, which they most likely will, they'll become No-Stars which will put them under the jurisdiction of the No Tardy Day rules. They will stay their hands...for now."
Hawk: "Fantastic." But that did little to ease Hawk.
Eventually, making it to the school, they were stopped by a massive wall of band students. Each is equipped with all different manner of instruments: clarinets, trumpets, trombones, flutes, saxophones, etc. At the front of the formation stood a short pink-haired girl wearing a white Marching Band Captain outfit.
