Along the shore of the artificial island of Honno City. Hawk, Pyrrha, and Shiro set up their test for Jetstream and Hawk's new gauntlet. Hawk fiddles with the gauntlet as Pyrrha helps fit it onto his arm.
The gauntlet/brace fits over his entire right arm. Along his forearm sits the newly mounted arm sheath that, when he flexes his wrist, the red blade of Omen springs forth. Connected underneath his wrist is a line of Dust vials that connect to a loading system that directs into his palm. This'll allow him to utilize the dust as he did with the sword he used during the election runoff.
Pyrrha: "Alright. It should be all set. How do you feel?"
Hawk: "Kind of heavy. But that's something ill get used to. Thanks." He rolls his arms as the brace comfortably allows him free movement. As he settles, he kisses Pyrrha's cheek, which blushes a deep red. "We ready, Shiro?"
Shiro: "Just about. Making sure all the readings are correct." He finishes planting a set of monitoring plugs on a ballistic dummy with a 1-star Goku uniform over it. "Set."
Hawk: "Okay, you might want to step back." Pyrrha steps back to where Shiro is monitoring with multiple monitoring equipment. "Ready."
Shiro: "Copy. Applying blood now." Shiro uses a syringe to spray a small amount of blood onto the Goku uniform, causing it to stiffen as it activates.
Hawk readies himself as she holds Jetstream, ready to activate the sword. The point of the test was to ensure that Jetstream could cut through Life Fibers and, by extension Goku Uniforms. A simple task, but when considered, he would also have to make sure the person wearing the outfit wasn't harmed. That made it a tad more complicated. If he failed and the ballistics dummy was damaged, then he would have to start all the way back at square one, which he didn't have time for. It had already been several days since they started working on these projects, and the Raid Trip was nearing its launch.
Shiro: "Alright. Whenever you are ready?" Hawk nods.
Hawk: "Here goes."
Pulling the trigger, the screeching sound of Jetstream being shot out of its sheath echoes through the surrounding area. Hawk grasps the handle as it flies forward. The brace holds steady as he directs the blade as he had done many times before. As the quick draw ended and Hawk held, the sword fully extended. He quickly looks up to see the Life Fibers were affected. A huge gash has been made through the suit as it crumpled away into two halves.
Hawk soon lets out an audible sigh of relief as he sees the dummy has sustained no visible form of damage.
Shiro: "Excellent! Simply excellent!"
Pyrrha: "Did it work?"
Shiro: "Judging from my measurements and the readings. The subject has sustained no lasting form of physical damage or harm. It seems we succeeded."
