Chapter 31: To War!

Pyrrha walked down the metal halls of the Naked Sol. Alarms blared as the ship shook from side to side as. Pyrrha looked to see an army of COVERS were attacking the ship. Heading out onto the primary deck, night hung over as giant-sized COVERS attacked the boat, each spewing out smaller COVERS. Among the resistance against said attack was the Elite Four, which were using large jet engine-like vacuums to suck the people that were trapped within the COVERS and fling them to safety.

Turning, she sees off in the distance a large yellow sphere moving across the ocean perpendicular to the Naked Sol. Both were on a collision course at Honnouji Academy.

Tsumugu: "Glad you could join us, your highness! Now get fighting!" He manages to yell out before continuing the fight against the COVERS.

Pyrrha: "Where is Ryuko?"

Satsuki: "She went to fight our mother." Pyrrha looks over her shoulder to see Satsuki.

Pyrrha: "And I suppose where they are is over with the glowing orb?"

Satsuki: "The Life Fiber Core, yes. It would seem all of our hopes rest on Ryuko Matoi now. All we can do is help where we can."

Pyrrha: "It would seem so. Then it seems to ensure our victory; we must lay all the cards on the table."

Satsuki: "Another new tool to utilize? I'm surprised. Truly."

Pyrrha: "You haven't seen anything yet."

Using the Yamato, Pyrrha seamlessly slices a portal into creation, catching Satsuki by surprise. Reaching through, she pulls through none other than Nora, who flops onto the deck.

Nora: "Oh hey! Hi, Pyrrha! Look, I'm like a fish! Blub. Blub. Blub." Pyrrha merely giggles as she reaches through and helps Ren through as he holds a raggedy-looking shoebox.

Ren: "Thanks, Pyrrha. Not the beach trip I was envisioning."

Pyrrha: "No worries. After this, we're all going to need a nice vacation." Her voice seemed to chipper up as she spoke to Nora and Ren. Like a 180 from how she acted and talked to everyone else on the ship.

Satsuki: "What...what was that?"

Ren: "Would you look at that? Satsuki Kiryuin left baffled. That's a new one."

Pyrrha: "Something Hawk will explain. Did you find it?"

Ren: "*Wretch*...yep." He holds up the shoebox.

Pyrrha: "Okay? Get going. I'll stay out here." The two nod as they hurry down under the deck.

Satsuki: "Will you go and assist Ryuko?"

Pyrrha: "I can't fly. No. I'm best utilized here, we just have to trust Ryuko won't give up."

Satsuki: "I don't know what you said to Ryuko, but she had a new fire within her eyes. That of righteousness. A righteous outlook to match as well. She won't give up because she has too much to lose."

Pyrrha: "That is good to hear. But we can't worry about that now. We have to make sure we can assist Ryuko in any way we can, and that starts by making sure the COVERS don't sink us."

Pyrrha draws Yamato as she summons a phalanx of summoned spears around herself. Dashing into the fray, she makes light work of any COVERS that were unfortunate enough to get in her way. Each slash with Yamato dicing the COVERS into twain, leaving only the human that had been trapped inside curled up on the ground.

With Pyrrha's intervention, the tide of the battle quickly turned in favor of Nudist Beach, so much so that Pyrrha singlehandedly fought off the forces by herself.
