Hubris: Volume 2

Chapter 31: The Treacherous Cave

The scene starts with Zeldris and Cosmo walking into the hotel room, all the girls looked at the two boys. Tabitha crossed her legs before crossing her arms. Phoebe was sat on the edge of the bed, both her hands rested on either side. Sophia was stood against the wall folding her arms and Avada was sat at a small table leaning forward on her right hand.

Tabitha: "I'm glad you two are okay, thank goodness."

Soph/Ada: "Two?"

Tabitha rubbed the back of her head before sighing. Avada stood up before placing her guitar to the side, she then looked at Zeldris as she leaned against the desk. Sophia looked at him also before folding her arms.

Sophia: "So..what did you see? Did you kick that guys ass?"

Zeldris tucked his hands into his pockets before saying bluntly.

Zeldris: "You're not going to believe me. I don't know what's going on in New York, but that wasn't a real guy."

Soph/Tab/Phoebe: "Eh?!"

Ada: "Oh my, so what was he?"

Zeldris: "Well, he wasn't a real human..let's start with that. You two were getting stalked by an android."

Phoebe: "An android?!"

Tabitha: "Are you sure Zeldris?"

Zeldris: "Yeah. When I punched off his glasses, his eyes were hollow, lifeless..it's body felt so human but it wasn't at the same time. In the end it self destructed."

Sophia: "Now that you mention it, that explains a couple things. When me and Ada went on tour around America, we saw a couple guys that looked..exactly the same. It was too coincidental to be doppelgängers, they were like clones of each other."

Ada: "We didn't pay much attention to it..however I feel we should have. Those things in black suits have tried to make us sign contracts, but me and Sophia knew to stay well away from those sort of signings."

Zeldris: "Good thing you two didn't, who knows what those freaks would've done."

Tabitha: "Umm..Zeldris"

Zeldris: "Hm?"

Tabitha: "Did you get the clue you were looking for?"

Zeldris shook his head before he held up a slip of paper.

Zeldris: "No. all I got was a slip of paper with an address on it. That's my next stop."

Tabitha stood up, the frills of her black dresses waved slightly as she stood on her two feet.

Tabitha: "I'll go with you. Since you took me on this trip, at least I can do my part."

Zeldris: "Alright."

Phoebe: "I'll go too! I want to help Zelly!"

Phoebe said gripping his arm from the side. Zeldris looked at the two with a raised eyebrow.

Sophia: "We're grateful again for you helping us out. We would go with you but we got to practice. We have another performance tomorrow."

Avada: "As much as it pains me to say, but Sophia is correct about that. We have such lovely fans to please."

Avada had a light giggle.

Avada: "We have each others contact info now Zeldris. If you ever need me...give me a call okay?"

Avada said with a light wink in her rather smooth and alluring voice. Tabitha puffed out her cheeks, Phoebe poked her tongue out at her. Zeldris nodded before he turned around to face the door, he then opened it before stepping out.
