Chapter 39: Ace Of Spades

The scene opens with Zeldris jumping up to the robot, he drew his weapon, an illuminated white knight like sword. He swung it at the robot..still not even a scratch..Zeldris growled lowly witnessing the cocky expression of the scientist. The scientist raised the robots hand and energy was beginning to be collected into it. Zeldris tried to dodge but the other arm grabbed him holding him tightly. Zeldris struggled but he couldn't get out..was this the end?

Ada looked up at him and began to panic, she was about to witness one of the people she was thankful to be eradicated. Ada let out a scream as the beam was expelled, Zeldris was engulfed in it and due to the pain he shrieked..

Venator: "WAHAHAHAHAGAGA is that all?! Your efforts are meaningless! You are nothing but pawns on MY board."

Venator looked at Avada

Venator: "Let this be a lesson to you girl, anyone that defies my will shall surrender to the biggest brain in the entire..world. No..THE ENTIRE COSMOS!"

The two looked at the aftermath, Zeldris was bleeding all over. Due to haemorrhaging, blood poured out of him. His body was charred slightly and all his armour was cracked. Venator let out a chuckle before dropping Zeldris to the ground..he was out. Phoebe and Tabitha were currently being swarmed, they fought tooth and nail to try and survive but they were overran by sheer numbers..Tabitha was being beat up, her jet black dress was ripped slightly as she bled from her head and mouth. Phoebe had bruises on her face and legs, her shirt was ripped slightly and stained with blood. The two crumbled to the ground, their faces rubbing against the tautness of the gravel..they were battered and bruised, newly awakened curse users got tired swiftly from the lack of experience when it came to their powers.

Zeldris was still alive..but he was also down, the crowd let out cries of anguish..they were petrified..were they to die?

Venator: "Let this be an example to all those who do not surrender to the almighty V! I am your puppeteer, when I fiddle with the strings you all shall dance for me! WAHHHAGAGAGAGAGAGA"

Zeldris was heavily wounded, he couldn't move..the robot made it's way over to him before lifting up it's colossal foot to crush him.

Venator: "Farewell."

As the robot was about to crush him, the sound of a motorcycle was heard in the background. It got closer and closer before it finally made an appearance from the building above the parade, spotlights were shone onto it...to reveal a certain person.

???: "Nobody told me there was a parade goin' on. That and the mad man that uses that voodoo mama stuff is messin' with the city...hey ain't th-"

As the certain cowboy landed on the ground with his motorcycle, he flipped a button and the rubber wheels turned spiky. He then raced up the robot with the spiky wheels which penetrated the iron causing large holes. Ace jumped off before drawing his gun, he then shot at the robot but this time the bullets caused damage to it.

Venator: "You! You were defeated by that boy, then you side with him?! How could you betray me Ace?! I should have executed you for your weakness!"

Ace: "You could try, but yer ain't got the balls to go through with it. I know how ya power works. That and this kid looks like he's got a better offer."

The cowboy spun his gun around before tucking it into it's holster, he then walked over to the charred body of Zeldris before shaking his head.

Ace: "If that's enough to kill ya, I should be ashamed of actually losin' a duel to ya. Get up, ya want your answers don't ya?"

As the cowboy had said that, Zeldris let out groan. He slowly moved his hand over his heart before a light glow was emitted.

Zeldris: "Ayla's...care."

Suddenly as Zeldris chanted that, his body was repaired at a rapid rate. His wounds were healed just enough for him to get up and fight, his skin wasn't charred anymore..he was just about good. Zeldris placed both his hands into the ground before chanting.

Zeldris: "Orient crater!"

Suddenly cracks in the ground was seen, as a powerful pressure wave traveled through the ground to the androids. All the androids were sent into the sky, they flailed in the air confused. Ace drew his gun before saying.

Ace: "Armour pierce rounds: Deadeye!"

Suddenly in a flash all the androids were destroyed..they stopped regenerating completely. Ace chuckled lightly before putting his gun away.

Zeldris: "Why the hell are you here?"

Ace: "Is that the way to greet someone that just saved yer life?"

Zeldris: "You're also the same person that tried to kill me earlier, Cowboy."

Ace: "Guess it can't be helped, I'm only payin' my tab so I don't owe ya one in the future."

Zeldris: "Right, well I'm going to kill Venator. After I bleed him dry of the answers I want."

Ace: "Now hold on, let me at least explain his whole gimmick. Only armour pierce rounds work on his mechs, that and more physical attacks. Projectile base attacks are good and all but make em more realistic. Like a bullet."

Zeldris: "physical huh?..I guess I got something like that."

Ace: "Here he comes!"

Venator: "You insolent fools! Your deaths will be painful!"

Zeldris: "Half moon saws!!!"

Suddenly as Zeldris chanted his attack, from the ground illuminated buzzsaws were erected from the ground in the shape of a half moon. They sawed along the ground, sparks lit up the dim night as they cut their way through the mech. Zeldris charged forward and Ace ran beside him.

Zeldris: "Don't get in my way!"

Ace: "Hey, that's my line."

Zeldris leaped up into the air, his right fist was imbued with a white bright light. He then opened his fist before he dashed horizontally cutting through the robot.

Zeldris: "Orient claw!"

The claw marks had illuminated white lights that began to rust the metal. Ace pulled out his gun from within his holster before he spun it around twice, he shot at the robots legs before chanting.

Ace: "Armour pierce rounds: Cutless!"

Suddenly the robots legs was riddled with bullets due to Ace's swift trigger finger. The robot was beginning to malfunction due to the sudden damage it had sustained.

Venator: "Damn it! How could two fools cause so much damage!? No matter at least I still ha- HUHHHH?"

When Venator looked over at Ada..she was gone, Zeldris was holding her bridal style before placing her down safely. Ada looked up at Zeldris before mumbling thank you. Ada fell unconscious afterwards. Venator slammed his fist on a red button which ejected him from the robot, the robot then crumbled down and black smoke was emitted from it along with a small flame.

Zeldris: "Let's see how you do in an even fight."

Venator: "I'm still going to defeat you all."
