Chapter 35: Twisted Science

The scene opens with the four staring the scientist down. He had a malicious grin as he looked down upon his prey. Zeldris cracked his knuckles, his allies that stood by his side got into battle positions. The scientist had a cackle before outstretching his arms out.

???: "How irksome, my creations were destroyed by a few teenagers...not to mention the guard that I hired had obviously succumbed to all of you. Such a hindrance in my plans! No matter, we have the final part of my plan..an energy source BAHAHAHAGAGAGAGAGA."

Zeldris cut his eyes before saying.

Zeldris: "What the hell are you talking about?"

The man had a smug expression before snapping his fingers..the large red curtain slowly began to rise to reveal a familiar ally was restrained to the machine.

Ada: "I apologise..to you all for seeing me in such a state."

All four: "Ada!?"

Zeldris: "What the hell are you doing to her you freak?!"

Tabitha: "You make me sick!"

???: "It's not my fault this young lady has a power no one is able to contain. Such a power is able to power all my mechanised machines. The moment I saw her first performance, the power she gave off was enough to power an entire continent! You'd have to be as dim as the night to ignore that fact. However, all my attempts to capture her were shut down..by that of security and you meddlesome kids."

Phoebe: "What do you mean?"

???: "What do I mean? Such a foolish question. I know you've felt it..the sudden surge of energy as she performs. She's a walking battery, so many organisations want to harness her for the energy."

Tabitha: "She's a living person! She's not some puppet you can use as you wish! Set her free!"

Ada: "All of you...stop."

Zeldris: "What?..Ada what the hell are you thinking? Do you not want to be free?!"

Ada: "Yes...but I-"

???: "Silence."

The scientist snapped his fingers and a surge of electricity began to course through Ada. Ada let out a howl of pain before lowering her head. Zeldris stared bluntly but his balled his fists feeling rage.

Zeldris: "What the hell happened to Sophia?"

Zeldris dug into his pocket before calling her number..no answer.

Ada: "Sophia...is...safe..they knocked her out at the hotel..I traded myself..so that they wouldn't kill her."

Cosmo: "I don't like this man!"

Cosmo transformed into his beast form letting out a roar.

???: "I Venator the greatest scientist known to mankind will not falter to some snot nosed brats BAHAHAGAGAGA. Come, give it your best shot."

Zeldris: "I already had a reason to look for you. I wanted some damn answers about a case I'm tryna solve. Now you're abducting musicians for some secret ass society? Tch, I'm going to kick your ass punk."

Zeldris led the charge, he dashed forward toward the scientist and was followed by the others. Cosmo picked up speed before dashing toward the scientist. The scientist suddenly disappeared out of sight, he then appeared from the ground under Cosmo before stabbing him through the chest. Cosmo let out a cry of pain before crumbling..blood began to pour out of his chest.

Zeldris: "Cosmo!!! YOU SON OF A BITCH VENATOR!!"

Zeldris felt a rage boil as white aura exploded from him. Zeldris transformed into his crescent moon armour, he then held out his right hand toward him before saying.

Zeldris: "Moon ray!"

As he chanted his spell, a beam of pure white was expelled at the scientist. The scientist snapped his fingers and a large metallic object dropped down and shielded him deflecting the beam into the ground. Phoebe planted her hand into the ground before chanting.

Phoebe: "Sunflower beam!"

Venator: "Futile."

As the sunflower expelled the beam toward him, the metallic object shifted and deflected it and Zeldris. Zeldris was hit by the attack which caused his arm to begin to melt slightly.

Zeldris: "AH AHHHHHH MY ARM!!!!!"

Phoebe: "Zelly!!! I didn't mean to! Let me heal you right away."

Tabitha appeared from the side, she cut her purple eyes before slashing at the scientist.

Tabitha: "Shadow claw!"

The scientist dodged her effortlessly before he opened his arms out.

Venator: "Dark haze!"

As he chanted the spell, an even more powerful version of the curse was seen. The whole room was covered in a dark fog..nobody could see. Amidst the dark field, ear splitting screams were heard. Then thuds.

Zeldris: "What the hell is going on?! Shimmering light!!"

Zeldris opened his arms and a bright white light cleared out the dark fog. When the fog was cleared..the scene was horrific...

Phoebe was stabbed through the chest but the knife was pinning her to the ground, her eyes were lifeless and her body was slumped..blood was spilling out from her mouth. Tabitha had a dagger through her head, bits of her brain was scattered on the ground, her black outfit was soiled with red. Zeldris looked down to see Cosmo..he was gutted like a fish, his innards were hanging out, his intestines were tangled as blood spilled out of him. Zeldris looked forward to see Venator, he held two daggers in his hand as he laughed.

Venator: "I must work on my android's now, to lose to such weaklings is an insult to the Chrolly name."

The scientist said smugly.

Zeldris gritted his teeth before rushing at him.

Ada: "Zeldris don't!" She called out in a panic.

Zeldris let his rage takeover..but he heard a voice.

Raspy voice: "Accept your fate...begin a new.."

Zeldris: "Shut up voice!"

Venator: "Have you gone senile?"

The scientist held up a gun before aiming it at Zeldris.

Raspy voice: "To..reach...salvation...you..must..die."

Zeldris fell silent..if he could die, he could reset before the battle had started...he then could try again and learn from the mistakes they made. Zeldris scoffed before sprinting at him full force.

Ada: "Zeldris no!!! So many have died already because of me!"

Zeldris: "it's not like I want to die! Dying is the only way I will get the answers I want!!

BANG! As the bullet was fired, it pierced the skull of Zeldris. Zeldris's brain splattered everywhere, his eyes were lifeless. As his body lost all feeling, it crumbled to the ground. THUD! Went his body, the cackle of the scientist was the last thing that resonated from within Zeldris as he had passed.

The scene changed and Zeldris woke up with a gasp. The group looked at him confused.

Cosmo: "What's wrong..Master?"

Zeldris: "We need to leave, now!"
