"Fucking finally. So's he like your boyfriend now or something?"

That was Rhonda's reaction when Caroline told her about the kiss. They were sitting in the library, looking for something for movie night.

"I don't know, we haven't spoken since last night." Caroline was sorting through tapes.

Just the thought of calling Wally her boyfriend made her squirm, something about the word put her off.

"I'm betting he's looking for you right now." Rhonda commented, sifting through a box in the storage closet.

"You know what? Let's not talk about my extremely complicated relationships right now?" She asked, looking at her.

"Only saying that cause he's coming in."

Caroline turned to see Wally opening the library door. He threw a look at Rhonda that screamed 'get out'.

Rhonda gave in, "Im gonna... check the other storage closet." She excused herself. "Kidding, it's cause he's here."

Caroline didn't want her to leave. She wasn't sure why she didn't want to be alone with Wally. They had a great time and she really liked him.
She used to promise herself she'd never get mixed up over a guy, now here she is.

"Hey, picking out a movie?" He rocked on his heels.

Caroline glanced up at him.

"Yeah, you can help, but no sports movies." She warned.

"But they're so inspirational!" He wondered to the other side of the shelf, she saw his face through the gaps of the tapes.

"So..." He trailed off, smirk on his face.

"So?" Caroline encouraged him to continue. "Get it over with, please."

"I was wondering.. if you'd like to go on a date, before the movie tonight." He bent down and pushed the tape to the side to create an opening.

"I can do a date." She responded casually, trying to resolve the tension. "Pick me up at 7." She slid a tape into the opening.

Wally forgot she was there for just a moment while he celebrated. He pumped his fists and did a victory dance like he just scored a touchdown. Caroline moved the tape again, as a reminder that she was, in fact, still there.

He stiffened up. "I'll see you!" He pointed before practically bouncing out the door.

Wally said he'd plan everything, he set up a cute little dinner in the cafeteria, consisting of cookies and store bought Mac and cheese.

Mr Martin had asked to see him for a moment and stepped out, he wasn't there with Caroline arrived.

"Wally?" She called into the cafeteria. Thinking he may have just been in the back somewhere.
Nothing.

Just in time, Wally bounded into the room.

"Hey, sorry. Mr. Martin needed me." He tried to make his mouth curl into a smile but he was missing his characteristic shine.
