Wally woke up with a sore neck, well, sore everything. He looked around, he was still in the library, the screen of the TV was blue, Caroline's legs were laid across his lap.

She was still sleeping, golden light was blanketed over her face. For just a moment he thought he was in heaven.
With an aching back.

He blinked a few times, to make sure this was real. This is the most peaceful he's ever seen her.

Without thinking, he went to brush a strand of hair out of her face. As soon as his fingertips grazed her cheek she startled awake, and hit him in the nose.

She sat up in a panic. Then she saw Wally holding his face.

"Oh my god! Wally I am so sorry!" She gasped.

Wally groaned in pain, he held his nose and leaned his head back. "It's fine."

"You scared me." She leaned over him and moved his hands. It's not like ghosts can break bones, so she didn't have to worry about that. It was it red, tears peaked out from the corners of his eyes.

"Yeah, that's my bad." He scrunched his face, trying to get the sting to go away.

When he looked up at her she was sitting over him, checking the damages. Her legs were positioned on either side of him.

He figured there's not much worse she could do, he wrapped his arms around her waste.
"You know, you look really pretty in the morning."

She rolled her eyes. "Oh, you're fine."

"No, no I'm not. I'm in agony." He sighed dramatically. "You need to nurse me back to health, it's the least you could do for punching me in the face."

She raised a brow and he smiled. He took great pride in being a shit-face.

"How about I kiss it better and steal an ice pack from the nurse's office?" She asked, hands on his shoulders.

"That'll do."

She pecked his lips and pushed herself off of him.

She went to grab her jacket, which had been drying overnight when Charley walked in.

"Caroline? Mr. Martin wants to talk to you." He stuck his head through the door first, his feet followed.

"Ohhhhhh~." Wally teased as if she was being called down to the principal.

"What for?" She asked, pulling her arms through the sleeves.

"He said he wants to apologize for last night." Charley crossed his arms.

"I'm not the one he should be apologizing to."

"But... I'm pretty sure he just wants to ask about your abilities." He finished. Waving his hands.

She unconsciously flipped into fight or flight.
"He could've just said that." She pointed out.

"I don't blame you if you don't want to, but you know how he is." Charley told her.

He wanted to get a better understanding as to why Caroline could leave and move things when no one else could. She knew the scientists in him would be curious. Maybe if she explained it, he could actually help them, instead of beating around the bush with "support" and "breaking up the monotony."
