A pack of dragons among the fairies

Chapter 5

Natsu was pressing the weird things on his ears, thanks to this weird thing he wasn't earring the sounds that the guild made. He could still hear Grey and Erza who were close to him so he didn't really understand how the thing worked but he didn't really care. It was surely because it was magic.

When he smelled it Natsu suddenly got overjoyed, it had a smell close to a dragon smell. It must belong to the dragon slayer of Fairy tail! If Natsu remembered well the old lady called him Laxus. Thanks to how the dragon's smells were strong compared to the humans, Natsu had no more trouble with the big amount of new smells in the guild as the dragon one was covering them. He should really thank the other dragon slayer for this amazing gift! This must mean that he was inviting him into his pack!
Igneel told him that it was a current thing to offer something when someone was joining your pack, so it must be that! Natsu was so glad that little sparks of fire lighted up in his hair, freaking Grey and Erza out.

When the young dragon slayer tried to catch sight of his new comrade he only got time to see some bright blond hair before the other left the building.

"Where is he going? I want to see him!" Exclaimed an impatient and overjoyed Natsu to Erza and Grey that stayed next to him still in chock.

"You mean Laxus? I don't know...He doesn't come to the guild really often since he works a lot. When he stays at the guild it's not for too long and he usually stays apart from us." Tried to explain Erza when she saw how much Natsu was happy.

Laxus wasn't a bad person but he was like a lone wolf, besides the Rainjinshu he wasn't staying with a lot of people in the guild. His team seemed to be the only people able to stay with him for a long time. A lot of wizards were a little scared of him at first since he had really strong magic and a bad attitude toward strangers.
Erza knew he wasn't a bad guy since sometimes when he was away for a long time, he brought surprises for them. That was how Levy got her favorite book and Erza a new sword. Laxus could be kind if he put his pride away and tried to get close to people. He was like a grumpy big brother to some of the kids here.

"Yeah him! Where did he go?!"

Wow, it seemed that Natsu wasn't going to calm down before he saw the other wizard. Even if she already said she didn't know, Erza answered the young dragon slayer. It looked like he understood this time since his smile faded away.

"Perhaps you should ask the master? It's his grandfather after all he should know where he lives." Suggested Grey who clearly didn't understand the enthusiasm the new guy had with Laxus.

Before Natsu could run toward the guild master's office Erza caught him by the shirt. Natsu struggled to get free but it was pointless so he just looked at her with puppy eyes so she would let him go. It was always working with Igneel.

"Yes, I'm going to let you go but be careful with Laxus's headphones. He really likes it and it's a gift from his team, I don't think he will forgive you if you break it."

Natsu nodded to show that he understood. He was more amazed by the gift now, Laxus trusted him with a really precious artifact. He will not break his trust and returned the thing to him in a perfect state. With that thought, the young dragon slayer ran to the old man's office. He didn't notice the odd looks he got on his way to the first stage. People knew to who this headphone belonged and they knew that it was one of the things that you couldn't touch like that. Almost like Erza'strawberry cake.

"Hey kid come here!"Exclaimed Mirajane from the mission board.

Natsu turned to her unsure of what she could want. When he got closer to her the two other kids that left with her earlier got closer, and they all looked interested in the things on his ears. The young dragon pushed his hair so they can all see it, he was proud of his new gift since it had been given by the other dragon slayer.
