All the seventy-five officers were led by Jack (James was not with them as he was injured during the chase). They went quietly through the forest type area. They climbed the wall and landed on the tin terrace without making sound. Then they found themselves standing in front of the big tin house. All officers did not climb the wall five officers were told to hid themselves behind the tress. So, if the Bloodhounders tried to escape from there they would block them from doing so.
Alex knocked on the door and said, ‘There is no good trying to escape, you are surrounded by the police forces from everywhere, SURRENDER YOURSELVES TO THE POLICE’
No reply came back so Jack with fifteen officers entered by breaking the door. Then suddenly shots were fired by The Bloodhound gang. Jack and the officers hid behind tin pieces and sacks. They fired back suddenly Jack spotted a trolly full of cash but it was at the right corner of the floor from where the Bloodhounders were firing. Suddenly the Bloodhounders threw a grenade to the direction of the officers the officers were so engaged in fighting that they failed to see the grenade. Seven officers managed to escape from the blast area while the rest died.
‘No!!’ Jack cried
Then in rage Jack fired and knocked down five Bloodhounders. He was going forward slowly. With each step he killed a Bloodhounders. Nearly Jack alone had killed fifteen Bloodhounders. One of the Bloodhounder was a very skilled gunman he had already killed officers alone. Jack quickly phoned the five officers he ordered them to come there inside the tin house. Jack then noticed the skilled Bloodhound gunman he tried to shoot but he realised he had run out of bullets. The Bloodhounders realised it and started firing at Jack. Jack quickly hid behind another. Meanwhile the other five officers who were on the other side had arrived. Jack asked them to throw him bullets. One of the officers threw him a pack of bullets but in that process, he got shot.
‘No!!’ cried Jack, Jack was now feeling tired he had alone killed many of the Bloodhounders. The other officers were dying one by one. But still Jack did not give up hopes and after a ferocious, blood shedding fights the police emerged victorious. Jack came there with thirty-five officers, and now only eight survived (excluding Jack).
During all this Jack saw a Bloodhounder who was constantly talking on the phone even during the braid, probably he was conveying the current position of the raid to his boss time to time. So, Jack shot him he went near his body and found the phone on which the Bloodhounder was talking. But when he shot the bullet the bullet went through the phone too, destroying it. Jack tried to find the sim card of the phone but he did not.
But there was a twist when they went near the pile of money, they found it was fake! Jack got shocked and depressed he got so angry that he punched the wall with bare hands which made his hands bleed.
‘How? Just How, they knew about the raid, how and where they transferred the original money in only this sort of time?’ cried Jack
‘But how are you sure Jack that they knew about the raid before?’ asked Morgan, one of the officers
‘Is it not quite clear?’
‘No explain it Jack’
‘See they knew we would come tonight that is why they have transferred all the original money, they kept some of their men here just to weaken our police force and to create fear among the people, so, the people would think that the police force is useless, they toyed with us! But the big question is how they knew about our raid before?’ said Jack
The officers went back to the police station with sad faces. Jack told Alex what had happened and how The Bloodhounds gang has outsmarted the police.
‘That’s what happens when you don’t listen to your senior’s orders. You got twenty-seven officers killed and you were not able to recover any money. Oh no wait you have recovered fake money! What on the Earth we are supposed to do with that money. Are we going to eat it? Idiot! What will I tell the commissioner? Twenty-seven officers got killed just to get a pile of fake money? Get lost now!’
Jack felt disrespected and he left the police station. He was suspended for a week. During that week he continued to investigate about The Bloodhound gang secretly. He later found out about the backstory of Alex too (He investigated about Alex because he knew someone in the police department told The Bloodhound about the raid beforehand). He began to suspect Alex because of his extraordinary records. When Alex joined the police force the crime rates of The Bloodhound gang were very high but when Alex was assigned to investigate the gang the crime rates was slowly coming down the graph. The police were getting aware of the location of the gang before hands. But this did not last for a long time. Soon the crime rates rose again and this time it seemed the gang knew how the police will attack. Also, the inspector of the Arnold Police Station gone missing and Alex was promoted to the inspector rank. After becoming inspector Alex became ignorant of the crimes committed by the Bloodhound gang. He always used to send old officers to the encounter. Jack thought that Alex did this to kill all those officers who knew that Alex was assigned to investigate that gang. Jack further came to know that only one of Alex’s co-workers (who knew Alex was assigned to investigate that gang), Sholto Woakes, survived as he left the police force and currently lived in his village Pentanant. To gather also this information, it took one week for Alex.
