BEFORE 21 - ZACKIE

Flashback - A few weeks ago

Ilang minuto na rin ako nakatitig sa isang black glossy card sa ibabaw ng aking office table. The card says - Club Fantaisie. I can't help but to fantasize what happened last night, thanks to this card.

Aurelien introduced me to one of his assets. I thought I was dealing with a high-class escort service, but to my astonishment, the girl was inept in sexual encounters. She seemed unskillful as if our night together was her first.

I was not surprised when I discovered that she was a virgin. I was surprised as I cannot seem to get my mind off that night. It is like I am drawn to my unknown partner, an unnamed desire that keeps bugging me all day long.

"We have a big problem, Traevon," nagpapanic na sabi ni Polaris pagkapasok niya sa office ko.

"Uso ang kumatok, Polaris," sagot ko sa kanya habang nakatingin pa rin sa mala-ATM black card sa harapan ko.

"We don't have much time. Nasa airport na si Zackie."

"Zackie? May pasok siya ngayon ah? What the hell is she doing there?"

Zackie Everett is my secretary. Aside kay Polaris, siya ang pinagkakatiwalaan ko dito sa company. She is a Werewolf from the Everett Family of Washington, US.

"Traevon, hindi mo ba natanggap ang email niya kanina?"

"Kung natanggap ko, magtatanong ba ako?"

"Meron ka na naman ba? Bakit ang sungit mo?"

"Naglilihi ako, happy?"

Ngumiti lang si Polaris at lumapit sa akin. Sanay na ito sa pagiging moody ko. Sabi ng mommy ko, ang daddy ko daw na si Tristan Eriksson ay may split personality, moody as fuck kumbaga. Mukhang namana ko ito sa kanya.

"Traevon, she already resigned effective today and she will go abroad in a few hours. We need to hurry, kung ayaw mong mawalan ng secretary."

Hindi na ako nakasagot pa dahil hinila na ako ni Polaris palabas ng aking opisina. I don't know why Zackie immediately resigned, but I have an odd feeling what's this all about.

"Polaris, you are dragging my arm! Baka isipin ng mga empleyado ko, may relasyon tayo!" nakangiti ko na sabi sa kanya.

"Dude, ikinalat ko na sa buong floor na bi-sexual ka at ako ang boylet of the month mo. Ngayon ka pa ba mag woworry? Ang alalahanin mo ay si Zackie. Nag-away ba kayo kaya siya nag-alsa balutan?"

Though Polaris is just my personal driver, my whole team knows him as a fun guy in the office who is a close friend of their boss. I am not very good when it comes to dealing with my employees, but with his help, I was able to build a team of competent and reliable employees.

"Nagkaroon lang kami ng misunderstanding ng secretary ko."

"Your Highness, you should not fuck co-workers," he said with a warning.

"As I had said, Zackie and I had a misunderstanding. I did not say anything about fucking her!"

For almost a year, si Zackie ang naging secretary ko at naging katuwang ko sa opisina. A few weeks ago, I was so drunk and Zackie was the one who took care of me. In my delirious state, I heard her confessing her love to me.

Everything happened so fast and I ended up kissing her. Fortunately, I was able to get back to my senses before taking her to bed. That was the start of our awkward treatment which leads to this closing chapter of our relationship.

"Alam ba ng ni Boss Gal Balut na may nangyari sa inyo ni Zackie?" tanong ni Polaris habang hinihila pa din ang braso ko sa corridor.

Zackie was assigned as my secretary as she is the girl in the vision of the First Heir Jedidiah Steiner.

The girl I am destined to marry. The girl that I do not love.

The First Heir Meshach Eriksson wants me to know this girl well. Gusto nilang bigyan ko ng chance si Zackie kaya ginawa nila itong secretary ko. Kahit wala ako sabihin kay Polaris, he knows for a fact that something intimate happened between me and Zackie.

I guess he is a damn good observer.

"Polaris, what do you want me to tell Galileo? That I kissed Zackie, but I don't like her? Paasa lang? I am planning to save my beautiful face. Wala akong balak magpasapak kay Kuya Gal."

"Well, you should have not touched her."

"Mukha ba kong tigang na pati secretary ko ay papatulan ko?"

"No, Traevon I know you have your own reasons and I will not delve into it any further. Do your thing. We can't let Zackie go. Mahirap humanap ng secretary as good as her. At lagot tayo sa First Heirs."

Polaris is right. I need Zackie as she is a big asset in my team. Baka pagalitan din ako ng mga First Heirs kapag nalaman nila na nagresign ito dahil sa akin.

I was not in my right mind when I kissed Zackie. If only I could turn back time and change that, I will definitely do it.

Pasakay pa lang kami ni Polaris ng elevator nang makasalubong namin ang isang babae. Dahil sa pagmamadali namin ay nabangga ito ni Polaris at nahulog ang mga dalang folders nito.

"Caelen, pasensya na ha? In a hurry kami ng Puppy Love ko! Hindi kita matutulungan. Bawi ako sa'yo later, promise!" sabi ni Polaris sabay hila sa akin pasakay ng elevator.

Bago ko pa mabawi ang sinabi niya ay sumarado na ang pinto ng elevator. I guess I will be tagged as the boss who is romantically involved with his driver.
