Traevon always reminded me that Werewolves are mostly good people. We were created as the first line of defense of humanity. But what just happened is a great contrast to what Traevon has been teaching me.

Only a vile creature can deliberately hurt someone and make himself/herself appear as a victim at the same time.

I can feel all their piercing eyes on me. A combination of sadness, and I guess regret. Hindi ko na tinapunan ng tingin si Traevon at nagmamadali ako na umalis sa balcony. Mas malulungkot lang ako kapag nakita ko pa lalo ang disappointment sa mukha niya.

It is also no use to explain my side as Sir Ford can back up Zackie's story. I wonder how she was able to manipulate Sir Ford, a Direct Heir of the Harrington family.

Zackie is still part of the Dima Corp. In their eyes, I have physically assaulted her. It would be much better to resign from work. Malaki pa naman ang pera sa bank account ko.

Magtitinda na lang siguro ako ng turon sa Isabela.

Nang medyo nakalayo na ko ay naramdaman ko ang mahigpit na paghawak sa braso ko. Paglingon ko ay nakatingin sa akin si Traevon. Seryoso ang mukha nito at hindi na ako magtataka kung galit ito sa ginawa ko kay Zackie.

Mabilis ako hinila ni Traevon papunta sa emergency exit. Pagdating namin sa emergency stairs ay bigla akong isinandal ni Traevon sa wall. Kung nasa telenovela kami, iisipin ko nanakawan niya ko ng halik, kaso galit siya sa mga oras na ito.

"Caelen."

"What do you want, Traevon? Do you want me to apologize to your fiancee?"

"No, I want you to tell me the truth. Did you hurt Zackie or not? Did you really threaten her?"

"It does not matter. You won't believe me anyway."

"Even if you did hurt her, I will look past it. I just want you to tell me if all she said was true because the Caelen I know could not do such a thing."

"Traevon---"

"Just tell me the fucking truth and I will believe anything you say!"

Umupo ako sa emergency stairs dahil pakiramdam ko ay nanghihina ako. Ipinaliwanag ko kay Traevon kung anong totoong nangyari, pero hindi ko alam kung bakit kabaliktaran ang nakita ni Sir Ford.

"I will always choose you, you should know that by now," sabi ni Traevon na hinawakan ang kamay ko.

Those words slowly cut me like a knife. As if someone had said it before, but never bothered to be true to their words.

"Kung alam ko lang na gagawa ng kwento si Zackie at babaliktarin ang lahat, sana sinaksak ko na lang ng champagne shard ang leeg niya!" biro ko kay Traevon.

"Nadadala mo ata sa labas ang pagiging wild mo. Hindi ba sinabi ko na dapat wild ka lang kapag kasama ko?"

"Ako ang wild? Coming from the man who almost fucked me in the elevator during a two-minute emergency maintenance! Sino kaya ang wild sa atin at hindi makapaghintay?"

"Are you complaining or are you asking for it to happen again? I guess the latter."

Hinila ako ni Traevon pababa ng hagdan. Hindi ko alam kung saan kami pupunta pero mukhang papunta kami sa underground parking ng hotel.

"Traevon, bakit ka naniniwala sa akin? Lanford used an Alpha skill. He is more believable compared to my claims."

"You're my friend, Caelen. A trusted friend with additional benefits. Wala akong makukuhang benefits kapag naniwala ako kay Kuya Lanford," nakangiti na biro nito sa akin.
