December 25th 2021, Christmas day Lydia's Parent's House, Athens, Greece

They have been talking for the past weeks day and night. They texted, they called and even video called each other all day. They talked about everything. Except the fact that they were teammates now.  They avoided to talk about everything work related. They only talked about each other. Charles learnt that she prefers cats over dogs, that she loves to dance and that she is a really good chef. Lydia learnt that he plays the piano, he loves listening to music and that the only thing he can cook is pasta or chicken.

"Maybe one day you can cook for me, if you are as good as you say" he told her. "And you can play piano while I cook" she added.
"Deal" he said, both of them laughing.

For the past two weeks they started falling more and more for each other. They had grew to like each other even more with each word they exchanged. With each laugh. With each smile.

Lydia felt nice to talk with someone else other than her friends or her family. She liked him. Not in a platonic way. She knew that whatever they had wasn't platonic. They both knew that. But of course they hadn't talked about their feelings or whatever they had was. They couldn't do that from the phone. They had to be together. Feel each other's presence. But none of them cared about that right now.  Lydia just felt good talking to him. She felt at peace and maybe even happy. Just like when she felt that night and the morning after.

(Flashback)--------------------------------------------

Charles woke up the next day in his hotel room. This time holding the brunette girl in his arms. The sun falling on her face. Her messy hair on the other side of her face. Her head and her hand on top of his chest. She looked so peaceful when she slept. My Stargirl. She looked so beautiful. Her rosie cheeks, her big eyelashes and her plumped big lips. The lips he kissed so many times last night and the lips he craved to kiss for once more right now. Instead he kissed her forehead, careful not to wake her up.

Charles felt full of emotions. He felt so lucky that moment with the brunette girl on his hands. He felt like he held the world.

She suddenly opened her eyes. Her big brown eyes meeting his green ones. She smiled at the sight of him.

"Good morning beautiful" he whispered to her, with his morning voice.
"Good morning beautiful boy" she said. Her hands and head now lying on top of his chest. She cupped his face, both of her hands on each of his cheeks, taking his face and making their foreheads touch.

"You are way more beautiful than me. You are a star." he told her. They both smiled.
"Oh shut up. You are just trying to make me smile Leclerc." she said. Now putting both of her hands at the back of his neck pulling him in for a kiss she knew they both craved. She pulled off putting her face on the crook of his neck. Him wrapping his hands around the girl pulling her body even closer to his. A huge smile on his face as she left little kisses, moving towards his face and kissing him once more. Their lips touching again.

She pulled apart this time cuddling with him. Enjoying the little moments of peace before they have to get up and have to face reality again.

"I wish we could stay like this forever" he whispered.
"I wish we could stay like this too". They cuddled for a little bit more in silence. Both of them afraid to pull apart.

"Charles?" she said, her voice breaking the silence, distracting him from his thoughts.
"Hm"
"What are we going to do once I go back to Greece and you go back to Monaco? What are we-"
"Shh. Don't think about that right now." he said looking directly at her, giving her his full attention.
"But-"
"Do you really think we will stop talking? I promise you we will text and call each other every day" he said stroking her long, brown hair.
"Do you promise?" she said as she held her pinky out.
"I promise" he responded, locking his pinky finger with her's sealing their promise. I don't want to lose you too, he thought as he cuddled with the girl for one more time before they both got up.

A few moments later they were standing in front of the door. Both of them dreading this moment.
"So I guess I will see you again-"
"Oh come here" she said hugging him. Her head on his chest. Him kissing the top of her head. She took one last whiff of his perfume as they pulled apart.

She stepped outside to leave before he pulled her arm. Her head now turned to look at him.
"I think you forgot something" he said "What could I-" she said before she felt that familiar pair of lips touching hers. "That's what you forgot" he said with a huge smile on his face. His dimples forming on his cheeks and his green eyes shining.
"I'm going to miss you"
"I'm going to miss you too" she said before kissing him for one last time. "Goodbye Charles" she said waving him, before she started walking towards the elevator.
"Goodbye Lydia" he said waving back at her, watching her leave. He got inside the hotel room, closing the door behind him. Deep down hoping the brunette girl would return back.

Inside the elevator Lydia turned to look at her reflection on the mirror.  Oh how much she wished last night would last forever. Looking her reflection on the elevator mirror she realized one thing. She was still wearing his clothes.

A few hours later she was inside the airplane heading back to Athens. She hadn't take his Ferrari hoodie off. She took a picture sending it to him.
"I still have this" she texted him. A few minutes later he responded back.
"Keep it. It suits you better anyway." he texted her back. Seeing the notification she closed the phone, biting her lip, trying to hide her smile.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Lydia knocked on her parents' door. It was Christmas today so she went to her parents' house to spend the whole day with her her family.

"Merry Christmas" her mother said as she opened the door, pulling her in for a hug. Lydia hugged her back before pulling apart to get inside the house. Everyone was there. Her parents, her grandparents, her uncles, aunt and her cousins. Even her best friend was there.

"There she is. My future world Champion." her father said pulling her in for a hug, kissing her forehead.

"Hello everyone" she said turning to look at her family.

"What do you think Little Red? Will you be the 2022 Champion?" her uncle said.

"I will try. But-"

"There's no buts. You are in Ferrari now. You are with the winners."her grandfather cut her off.

"There are many things that we should work on to win a championship. It's not only up to me. There's also a whole team behind and I have a teammate that is an excellent driver" she responded back, careful not to sound rood.

"Oh yes. Of course. Charles Leclerc." her cousin said.

"Oh come on. I bet Lydia is way better than that guy." her other cousin said.

She understand her family's excitement but she couldn't stop but hoping the earth would open in half and shallow her.

Her best friend who watched the conversation from far laughed. "Help me" Lydia mouthed to her best friend who enjoyed the scene in front of her. She shook her head. That bitch.

"Oh come on. Leave Lydia alone. She just got here. She is going to win when the time is right." her grandmother said.

"Thank you." Lydia said finally taking a breath.  "Now if you excuse me I have to use the bathroom" she said before walking up the stairs arriving at the second floor of her house.

Bling. Lydia smiled on the notification on her phone. Opening the notification she read the text he just sent her.

Charles Leclerc sent you a message:"Merry Christmas Lydia" she smiled, while biting her lip.Damn Lydia. Your whole family is here.

"Merry Christmas Charles" she responded going back downstairs, forgetting completely why she went upstairs.

He smiled as he saw the notification on his phone. "Charles are you coming?" his brother, Arthur said distracting him.

"Yeah. " he responded back closing his phone.

Charles Leclerc sent you a message: "I will call you later. I'm with my family now. Take care. Xo" Lydia smiled one more time before closing her phone screen giving her full focus on her grandfather who was talking.
