"What're you thinking?" I asked Ethan as I walked to him with two cups of coffee in my hand.
He was leaning against the balcony railing as he looked at me.
He took one of the cups from me and held my hand pulling me closer.
He kissed me lightly and said, "Nothing, just about how much things have changed in last four months."
"They have, haven't they?" I chuckled taking a step back and leaning against the rail beside him.
"Yeah. I mean who had thought that I'd come here for two months and stay for four instead? Who had thought that you'd become such a good friend for me? Who had thought that mama and dad would get back together? Not Rose, I am sure," he joked making me giggle.
"Yeah, who had thought you'd say sorry? Who had thought you'll become a better version of yourself? Who had thought I'll become so stubborn because of you?" I nodded with a sad smile.
"I made you stubborn? That's such a big lie," he scoffed.
"You did it. I was never like this. It is all your bad influence on me," I scoffed.
"Yeah and you have been a very good influence on me, right? I am on the verge of taking therapy to stop rolling my eyes," he rolled his eyes making me laugh.
"I have made some good changes too though, unlike you," I shrugged with a proud smile.
"I have made some good changes too," he shrugged.
"Like?" I frowned.
"Like I made you appreciate yourself," he gave me a pointed look.
"Please, I already used to do it," I shrugged.
"You have really become stubborn and rude. I have done so much for you and you are behaving like this with me," he complained.
"Really? What have you done for me that is so special?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.
"I took you out on a family trip," he turned to face me.
"Not my first time. I have already done that with Danny and my parents," I shrugged.
"I took you out on a date."
"Already been on several with my previous boyfriends."
"Yes, but I am sure I was the first one that took you to a fine dining place for the first one itself,"
"I have done that before with my investor ex-boyfriend."
"I took you to see fireflies,"
"Seen them before when I had gone to the field trip with my first boyfriend."
"Shared my jacket with you."
"My third boyfriend gave up his jacket for me."
"Match making."
"Done with Payton."
"Sharing a bowl of ice cream at midnight."
"Done."
"Long drive."
"Done."
"Dance in rain."
"Done."
"Movie night."
"Done."
"Are there any firsts that you have left for me or it's all done?" he asked with frustration, finally giving up.
