Chapter 7:
It's now around 7pm and I'm about to close the shop.
Nobody's here anymore but it's not really busy on Tuesday anyway.
I tried all day to find the inspiration to write but I can't seem to concentrate.
Lizzie and I texted a few times but she was really busy so she can't be on her phone all day.
I get home and I have the surprise to find Lexie sitting on my couch. « Don't you have a house? » I said rolling my eyes.
« Why are you so mean with me? » she answered « I'm not »
« Tell me everything that happened yesterday » she asked and I began telling her everything from the beginning to when she left this morning.
« So you slept on top of her but you didn't fuck her? » she said « of course not Lexie! »
« But why » she said almost desperate. « Because I- I don't want to »
« Liar » she laughed « fine! I do maybe. But I won't do it because firstly, Lizzie is a respectable person I would never use her for sex, secondly, she probably doesn't want to and thirdly, it's such a complicated situation I would end up hurt for sure » I explained.
« But you won't use her y/n. What do you want her to be? »
« I don't know lexie. I mean it's only been like two days that I met her at the coffee shop. I need time to know »
« Okay that's fine. I won't bother you anymore. Do you want to order something and watch grey's anatomy? » she suggested and I nodded.
We order sushi and once we get our food, we sit on the couch to eat.
Around 11pm, I get a call from Lizzie. I get up and go to my bedroom.
« Is everything okay Lizzie? » I said kind of concerned to get a late call from her.
« Yeah don't worry but I can't sleep » she said in an anxious voice.
« it's okay I'm here » I call her in face time so I can see her « hey beautiful » she said instantly making me blush.
« Do you have to wake up early tomorrow? » I asked her « yes. I have an interview then a photo shoot »
« Ohh I love your photo shoots » I said realizing my mistake after « oh is that true? » she smirked.
« Uh- I mean... yeah. You're a really really beautiful woman inside and outside » I let out.
« you're too cute for this world » she said making me blush again for the hundredth time.
« Lay down Lizzie » I rolled my eyes. « can you tell me about your next book? » she asked and I smiled widely at her request.
« Okay so... » I began telling her some details of my new upcoming book and I saw her listening carefully. As I keep talking, I see her eyes close from time to time but she open them again to show me that she's listening.
« Go to sleep angel » I whispered « I like that one » she said referring to the nickname.
I chuckled « goodnight angel » she replied sleepily her eyes staying closed and I hang up.
« Who was it? » Lexie asked as soon as I entered the living room again.
« Lizzie » I simply said and she squealed « what did she say? » she almost jumped excitedly.
« She couldn't sleep so I helped her to » I said like it's not the cutest thing ever.
« Oh god she's so attached to you already »
« Shut up and play the show again » I rolled my eyes and sat back down next to her.
We ended up falling asleep on the couch like we do every time.
