Chapter 23:
« So girlfriend? » my sister said leaning on the doorway.
« Girlfriend » I repeat with a small smile.
« I'm happy for you. Really surprised but I guess soulmates are meant to find each other again at some point »
Her words hit me. Soulmates? There was definitely not a lot of chances to meet Lizzie in a coffee shop in LA.
We maybe were meant to meet again.
« You will definitely have to tell me everything tho » my sister added and i rolled my eyes nodding anyway.
« So... what do you want to tell me? » I asked and her happy face fell into a disappointed one.
« It's about our parents » she said and I sighed « no » i simply replied. I don't need them to ruin my life again when I'm truly happy for the first time in a while.
Lizzie is here and she doesn't know anything about it. « Please y/n. It's important »
« I don't want to hear about them » I got up scooping Lia in my arms and leaving the room.
Lizzie pov:
I'm confused now.
« She hasn't told you about it right? » Tessa asked me. I shook my head no. « okay... Look I can't tell you about it myself, only her can tell you. But I need to talk to her, can you maybe convince her to accept? »
I nodded and got up walking into the living room finding y/n playing with her nieces. They look so damn cute I could melt.
« Baby? » she looked at me patting the spot next to her. I sit on the couch and Lia crawled up to my lap making me awe.
I looked at y/n smiling widely « she's so cute oh my god » I hugged her little body, she nuzzled up on my neck and in a few seconds, she's fast asleep.
Y/n smiled and looked at me with so much love. « I don't know what happened honestly but you should talk to your sister. Just to know what's happening. I will be here to help you whatever it is. You're not alone anymore. You dont have to deal with this alone my love »
Y/n pov:
She's right. Whatever Tessa has to tell me, Lizzie will be here, she will be here to hold me while i cry, or she will be here to listen to me ramble angrily about my parents.
I sigh and get up pecking Lizzie's lips joining Tessa in my bedroom. « Hey Noa, how about you join your sister and Lizzie in the living room to watch a movie? » he ran out of the room and i sat down next to my sister.
« Tell me everything » i waited for her to start « You know our cousin is getting married in two weeks? »
I nodded waiting for her to go on « our parents are invited. And they asked if you were going too »
« Why? They want to ruin their nieces wedding by saying homophobic things at me? »
« I dont know... But I wont let them do anything to you. And Mark won't let them either. You know how protective he is over you » she said and I smiled. Mark is her husband, I love him a lot and he's a perfect husband and dad for the twins.
He always got really protective over me, mostly when my parents were being assholes.
« I want Lizzie to be here » I said « you really love her don't you? » she smiled excitedly.
« I do, so much » I smiled feeling so happy right now « I'm glad you found her again. I always knew how much you loved her before »
« You did? » i never told anyone about my feelings for my best friend « of course, you should have seen the way you looked at her. And you both were completely oblivious of each other's feelings »
« I'm happy that you're happy. You deserve it » she added and I smiled at her giving her a small hug trying to hold my tears. I deserve this.
After everything that I've been through, I deserve to be happy and to be loved.
We walk back to the living room, finding both twins all cuddled up in Lizzie's arm watching Toy Story. « Are you trying to steal my girl? » I said dramatically and the kids both laughed.
« Let me cuddle, I want cuddles too » I said laying down next to Lizzie taking Noa in my arms. « Before we could add anything, the door bell rang and the door opened revealing Lexie and Aubrey « Hey Bitc- » Aubrey stopped when she saw kids.
« Oh my god my loves I missed you » Lexie said running to hug the twins. « Auntieeee »
« What're you doing here? » Lizzie asked Aubrey « well we wanted to come and surprise you will you were doing the nasty thing » she said and Tessa bursted out of laughing.
« I think I already did that this morning » Aubrey gave her a high five both looking like they didn't just met.
« God just shut up you two » I said trying to not laugh with them.
« So what are you doing here Tessa? » Lexie asked « our cousin is getting married and my parents will be there including y/n and Lizzie »
Lizzie look at me surprised, i give her an apologetic look « I will explain later » she nodded and kissed my cheek. I love how she doesn't question anything and just follow me.
« Ouch. You're okay y/n? » lexie asked concerned « yeah I'm fine dont worry. I wish you could come too actually » i sighed.
« I'm sure we can arrange that, Lexie knows our cousin well and our family, you can even bring Aubrey if you want » Tessa said making my eyes light up. I won't be alone in this wedding, the people I love the most will be there for me and that's what matters.
« If y/n wants us there then we will al come » Lizzie said making me smile « I want you all there »
