Chapter 26:
« How do you feel? » Mark asked me as I sit back on the table.
« I'm fine. Lizzie helped a lot » I smiled softly as my hand rested on my girlfriend's thighs.
« You two are a beautiful couple » he smiled at us. « Thank you » Lizzie answered with a cute smile.
« auntie? » Lia shook my arm softly « yes baby? » I caressed her cheek softly.
« Nap time? » she raised her arms silently asking if I could take her in my arms.
I instantly scoop her in my arms and put her in my lap. She hides her face in the crook of my neck and I stroke her back enjoying the comfort.
« I love you baby » I kissed her forehead « love u »
My sister and mark looked at us with a soft smile « she loves having naps with her aunt »
Since the twins were babies, I always took my naps with them. I love sleeping and I love taking naps with my two favorite humans.
I turn around seeing Lizzie looking at me with heart in her eyes making me blush.
« So Lizzie, do you want kids? » my sister asked and my eyes widened. « Uh actually yes I do. I'm just waiting for the perfect time » she answered making me smile.
« That's good because my little sister wants kids too » I gasped « Tessa! Stop » I whispered - screamed.
« I mean look at you! A beautiful couple with a kid in your arms » she smirked.
« I mean, yes that's tempting but it's a little early for that, we will talk about kids later » Lizzie said making me smile. She's really considering having kids with me.
Even if it's too early for that, I can see a future with Lizzie with little children and her as my wife.
« Auntie nap too? » Noa came and asked me « I'm sorry buddy, your sister is asleep already I can't take you both in my arms » I see him start to tear up.
« No no bud, there's no need for tears. You can go sleep with mommy or daddy? »
« No want auntie » he said and I can feel like he's about to throw a tantrum « hey buddy, how about you come sleep on my lap? I know I'm not like auntie y/n but I give amazing cuddles » Lizzie asked.
I see Noa nod shyly and Lizzie opens her arms, she scoops him up and he nuzzled into her just like his sister.
Lizzie awe at the boy in her arms « oh my god that's the cutest thing ever »
« Just what I said » my sister chuckled softly.
« What did we miss? » lexie asked as her and Aubrey arrived at the table.
« just Y/n and Lizzie being in love and perfect to have a family » my sister explained making me roll my eyes.
« Oh so nothing new » Aubrey said making everyone chuckle.
Lizzie pov:
Y/n looks at me with a pouty lip but I still can see the amusement and happiness in her eyes. That's what matters for me. She's okay and I'm proud of her.
« I love you » I mouthed to her softly. She blushed mouthing the words back to me. I smile looking at her and her niece.
She's so good with kids. I could imagine us having our own. Being married to her, having a house together with a big garden.
Having a family with her.
I mean, it won't be now of course since we've only been dating since less than a month. But I definitely can see a future with y/n.
I love her and she's amazing. Everything that I've ever wished for.
My staring is interrupted buy a voice. We all look up to see y/n's mom standing here awkwardly.
I see y/n tense up so I put my hand on her arm softly stroking it.
« I'm here » I remind her and she nods tightening her grip around Lia.
« Im sorry to bother you, I just wanted to talk to y/n » she looks up surprised.
« Uh yes? » she said confused. She's such a nice person, even if all the pain her parents caused, she would always be open to a discussion which is something I admire.
« I'm sorry y/n. I'm sorry for all the hurtful things I said. You don't know how much I regret it. How many times I thought of you, missing your presence. I shouldn't have reacted this way. I can see now how happy a free you are. I know a sorry is not enough for you to forgive me but it's the least I could do. I love you my little girl and I'm so happy that you found your person » she finished looking at me with a small smile.
I see y/n's shocked face « I- uh thank you » she simply said.
« w-why are you only telling me this now? » she added her voice cracking a little.
« Your father. He- he's really- well you know how he is. But it hurts me to see my daughter being traumatized of us. I want to make things better with you. If you let me of course »
« I-I need time mom. I know you're sincere but I need to think about it » I smile proudly at my girlfriend.
« Ok I understand. Thank you for taking your time to think about it. I will leave you now kids, you can call me if you need anything » y/n nodded and her mom turned to me.
« Thank you for taking care of her » she said and I give her a small smile with a nod.
When she leaves, we all look at y/n asking silently if she's okay.
« It's okay guys I'm okay. I'm happy that I got the apology I deserve at least from one of them »
I kiss the back of her hand and we all settle down, talking and enjoying our evening.
