Luke 8: Sow Even In The Winter

Luke 8:4-15 SOW EVEN IN THE WINTER

4 While a large crowd was gathering and people were coming to Jesus from town after town, he told this parable: 5 "A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path; it was trampled on, and the birds ate it up. 6 Some fell on rocky ground, and when it came up, the plants withered because they had no moisture. 7 Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up with it and choked the plants. 8 Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up and yielded a crop, a hundred times more than was sown."

When he said this, he called out, "Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear."

9 His disciples asked him what this parable meant. 10 He said, "The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to others I speak in parables, so that,

"'though seeing, they may not see;
though hearing, they may not understand.'[]

11 "This is the meaning of the parable: The seed is the word of God. 12 Those along the path are the ones who hear, and then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved. 13 Those on the rocky ground are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while, but in the time of testing they fall away. 14 The seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by life's worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature. 15 But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop.

St. Luke 8:16 "No one lights a lamp and hides it in a clay jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, they put it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light.

St. Luke 8:17 For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open.

St. Luke 8:18 Therefore consider carefully how you listen. Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what they think they have will be taken from them."

Hiligaynon:

4 May adlaw nga madamo gid nga mga tawo halin sa mga banwa ang padayon nga nag-inabot kag nagtilipon kay Jesus. Ginsugiran sila ni Jesus sini nga paanggid:

5 "May isa ka mangunguma nga nagsab-og sang binhi. Sa iya pagsab-og, ang iban nagtupa sa higad sang dalan, kag natapakan ini sang mga nagaalagi kag gintuka sang mga pispis. 6 Ang iban nagtupa sa kabatuhan. Nagtubo ini pero nalaya dayon kay mala ang duta. 7 Ang iban nagtupa sa duta nga may mga tunukon nga hilamon, kag dungan nga nagtubo ining hilamon kag ang binhi. Gani sang ulihi nalumos sang hilamon ang nagtubo nga binhi. 8 Ang iban nagtupa sa maayo nga duta, nagtubo kag nagpatubas sing madamo gid."[a] Nagsiling pa si Jesus sa ila, "Kamo nga nagapamati, dapat intiendihon gid ninyo ining inyo nabatian."

Ang Katuyuan sang mga Paanggid

9 Ginpamangkot siya sang iya mga sumulunod kon ano ang kahulugan sang sadto nga paanggid. 10 Nagsabat siya, "Ang mga tinago nga kamatuoran parte sa paghari sang Dios ginasugid sa inyo nga maintiendihan ninyo, pero sa iban ginasugid ini paagi sa mga paanggid agod nga 'bisan sige lang sila tulok indi sila makakita, kag bisan sige lang sila pamati indi sila makaintiendi.' "[b]

Ginsaysay ni Jesus ang Paanggid Parte sa Manugsab-og

11 Dayon ginsaysay ni Jesus ang kahulugan sang paanggid. Nagsiling siya, "Ang binhi amo ang pulong sang Dios. 12 Ang higad sang dalan nga gintup-an sang binhi amo ang mga tawo nga nakabati sang pulong sang Dios, pero nag-abot si Satanas kag ginkuha niya ang pulong sa ila mga tagipusuon, agod indi sila magtuo kag maluwas. 13 Ang kabatuhan nga gintup-an sang binhi amo ang mga tawo nga nakabati man sang pulong sang Dios kag ginbaton nila nga may kalipay, pero indi hugot sa ila mga tagipusuon. Gani wala magdugay ang ila pagtuo, kay sang pag-abot sang mga pagtilaw nagtalikod sila dayon. 14 Ang duta nga may mga tunukon nga hilamon nga gintup-an sang binhi amo ang mga tawo nga nakabati sang pulong sang Dios, pero nadaog sila sang ila mga palaligban, mga manggad, kag mga kalipayan sa sini nga kalibutan, gani wala sila nagpamunga. 15 Pero ang maayo nga duta nga gintup-an sang binhi amo ang mga tawo nga nagpamati sang pulong sang Dios, kag ginatipigan nila ini sa ila maayo kag sinsero nga mga tagipusuon kag nagatinguha sila sa pagtuman sini hasta nga nagpamunga ini sa ila kabuhi."
