WARNINGS OF PLANE CRASHES
Number 1- Crash of a Douglas C-47A-20-DK in Khitokha
Date: 25th of November 1950.
Registered: Victor Tango- Charlie Oscar India (VT-COI).
Number of people killed: 3 people were killed in the crash.
Circumstances: The plane crashed into a hill while on a cargo flight, all three crew members on board were killed in the crash.
Cause of the crash: It appeared that the crew failed to take the appropriate measures to maintain a safe distance with the terrain/ground.
Number 2- Crash of a Douglas C-54-5-DO Skymaster in Chhukha
Date: 3rd of November 1945.
Time: 02:00am UTC.
Registered: 45-0528.
Flight number: Uniform Sierra Alpha Foxtrot 28 Alpha (USAF28A).
Number of people killed: 44 people were killed in the crash.
Circumstances: While the plane was crushing at nighttime at an altitude of 8,000 feet, the aircraft hit trees with it's right wing and it crashed in a dense wooded area, the wreckage was found a month later and all 44 occupant on the plane were killed in the crash.
Cause of the crash: It appears that the pilot did not follow the assigned airway (It's like a highway for the sky) and the pilot flew a direct route from Karachi to Dibrugarh, due to low visibility caused by the darkness of night, the pilot was unable to distinguish the mountains and natural obstacles, the accident was a cause of Controlled Flight into Terrain.
Number 3- Crash of a Douglas C-47-DL near Sakden
Date: 5th of June 1945.
Registered: 41-38746.
Number of people killed: Seven people were killed in the crash.
Circumstances: While en route from Calcutta, India to Jorhat, India, the aircraft crashed in a mountainous area located south of Sakden, Bhutan, all seven people on board the plane were killed in the crash.
