This plane crash takes us to the West African country of Gabon, which is located next to the following countries: Equatorial Guinea, Republic of the Congo and Cameroon.

WARNINGS OF A PLANE CRASH

Gabon Express Flight 221, registered as Tango Romeo- Lima Foxtrot Whiskey (TR-LFW), was a scheduled domestic passenger flight which crashed into the Atlantic Ocean on the 8th of June 2004, the Hawker Siddeley HS748 that was operating the flight, it was carrying 26 passenger and 4 crew members (30 in total) on board and it was flying from Libreville International Airport (IATA: LBV, ICAO: FOOL), Libreville, Gabon to M'Vengue International Airport (IATA: MVB, ICAO: FOON), Franceville, Gabon via a stop at Port-Gentil International Airport (IATA: POG, ICAO: FOOG), Port Gentil, Gabon, when the engine failed after takeoff, the crew tried to return to Libreville International Airport; however they overflew the airport and nosedived into the sea, at least 19 people were killed in the crash.

Shortly after takeoff from Libreville, the crew reported problems with the aircraft, a failure of the Number 2 Engine (The right hand engine) occurred, which caused the crew to turn back for the airport, while returning the crew tried to extend the landing gear however the landing gear didn't extend, due to problems with the hydraulics system, the plane then nose dived into the sea, the tail and the front part of the aircraft separated from the main fuselage, as the plane was not fully submerged, several survivors managed to escape from the sinking wreckage, 11 people survived the crash the remains 19 people on board did not survive the crash.
