Allied Air Flight 111, registered as 5 November- Bravo Juliet November (5N-BJN), was a scheduled cargo flight operated by the Lagos, Nigeria, based cargo airliner Allied Air, which was flying a route from Murtala Muhammed International Airport (IATA: LOS, ICAO: DNMM), Lagos, Nigeria to Kotoka International Airport (IATA: ACC, ICAO: DGAA), Accra, Ghana, the flight was operated with a Boeing 727 cargo aircraft, on the 2nd of June 2012, the aircraft crashed on landing at Kotoka International Airport, the crash killed 10 people on the ground, the four crew members on board the plane survived, the aircraft overran the runway, broke the perimeter fence and struck a minibus on a roadway, all on board the minibus were killed in the crash.

As the plane was approaching Accra, the crew was told to descend to 2,000 feet and then they were ordered to climb to 3,000 feet due to terrain, on approach to Accra, the captain decided to fly an ILS approach, however, he later disconnected the autopilot and decided to fly manually, during landing, the plane encountered IMS (Integrated Management System) conditions, with rain and zero visibility, the landing became unstable, the aircraft touched down at a speed of 309 kilometres per hour (167 knots), thrust reversers and normal braking was deployed but it was proven ineffective, the nose landing gear remained in the air and it didn't touch the ground until the aircraft flew into the perimeter fence, the plane overran the runway and impacted the field's threshold lights and approach lights, it the destroyed the ILS localiser, the debris from these impacts struck a taxi cab, causing the driver to be injured, the plane then entered the crowded Giffard Road, where the minibus was travelling on, it was impacted by the plane and all ten people on the minibus were killed, it uprooted a tree and stopped in an open area near El-Wak Stadium, all four crew members survived the crash.
