Its officially been a month since I've stumbled into the neighborhood.

It was a new day in the Neighborhood, as always! And when theres a new day in the neighborhood, there's a day for new shenanigans.

I was sitting in the kitchen with Wally, who was preparing to make breakfast for us. He went to the fridge and opened it, but once he looked around his face dropped. "Oh, well that's a shame." I looked up from the counter raising an eyebrow at his comment. "Hm?" I watched as he closed the refrigerator door. "Seems like we ran out of some breakfast," he sighed and gave a small smile, "I'll just go stop by Howdy's real quick."

Wally walked past me going to get his jacket. "Wait, I wanna go too!" I jumped up in a rush following after him. He chuckled at my excitement and allowed me to tag along. "Alright then, let's go."

We held hands, swinging them back and forth as we walked to Howdys store. The bell rang as we opened the door to the shop. Howdy was at his counter, reading a book to himself. Once he saw us, his attention shifted greeting us with a smile.

"Y/N, Wally! How's it hanging, what can I help you guys with today?" Howdy closed his book setting it side to lean over the counter. Wally smiled, "Hey Howdy, we just need a couple of breakfast foods. Pancakes, eggs, bacon stuff like that." Howdy gave us a thumbs up. "I'm sure I have something around here, give me a moment!"

As we waited for Howdy, I saw Julie in the corner of the store. My smile lit up at the sight of her, Wally noticing this. "You can go say hi." I glanced over at him, giving a small nod. I skipped over to the booth in the far corner Julie was sitting in. I noticed she had some notebook in her hand. I got curious and decided to peek a little to see what she was writing. There were many hearts and misspelled words, including sketches. My eyebrow raised at the sight of this.

"What's that?" Julie yelped in her seat, sending her notebook flying in the air before she caught it. She gave me a terrified look, even I was surprised at her sudden reaction. "Oh! N/N, it's just you." Julie relaxed, laying her notebook down. I waved and sat down beside her, "Whatcha writing, or is it your secret diary?" I placed my elbow on the table, leaning my hand on my cheek. She gave a nervous laugh, hiding her face more into the notebook. "Well, I guess you can say that but-" Julie wrapped an arm around my shoulder, bringing me closer to her.

Her cheek was pressed against the side of my face, "That's not all! It's filled with ideas, plans, love! The whole shabam!" she extended her hand out to the sky for dramatic effect. I rolled my eyes at how dramatic she was being, shaking my head. "Alright Julie, whatever you say." I took her arm off my shoulder. I glanced back over to Wally and Howdy who were talking with each other. Wally's arm was leaned against the counter while Howdy nodded along with him at whatever they were saying.

"You know Julie...something feels different with me." Julie was writing in her notebook, clicking her pen. "What's up?" She asked continuing to write. "I don't know, it's about Wally.." the second I mentioned Wally, her ears perked up. She got this interested smirk on her face, continuing to click at her pen. "Do tell."

I smiled and decided to rant at my feelings.

"I don't know, it's kinda hard to explain. Ever since I first came to the neighborhood, I had this sort of connection with Wally. He's such a nice and kind guy. He's respectful and caring, selfless and confident. He has a smile that can light up a whole room, it's so contagious. He like the perfect man you would dream of. Everything I get around him, I get these strange butterflies in my stomach. I love the small nicknames he gives me, their always so sweet. I've never met a guy like him before in my whole life, he's just perfect. He's handsome, courageous and.." I got lost in my thoughts, leaning my hand on my cheek. My smitten gaze was still at Wally. "A gentleman.."
