A young beautiful woman with long wavy hair, colored in the shade of black ink with golden brown skin and eyes shinning like sun, walked deep within the forest to come across an island, in the middle of the ocean.
As the island swims closer to her, an magnificent ancient creature slowly reveals himself from the water.
In a powerful, calm and gentle voice the creature says to her, "in the years to come, your children will bring forth the era of the ancient ways. And as the generations continue, they will grow more powerful with each passing day and I shall return once again to aid the path of the forgotten era."
And with those words he bestowed upon the young woman the key to unlocking the path that her future generations will now follow in the years to come.

"Korra please," Asami begged. Now at the age of 52, Asami from team Avatar must watch her beloved Korra make the ultimate sacrifice. "I have to do this Asami. Otherwise, there won't be anywhere for anyone to come back to." Korra says. The 51 year old avatar, walked up to where the spirit portal once stood in the middle of Republic City.
She looks down and takes a deep breath. Asami runs to her side again and takes her hand. "There has to be another way!" Asami cried. Her voice stained in pain and sadness. She and Korra faced many obstacles and challenges. And they always found a way to overcome them each time. And as the years went by, Korra had always maintained the balance.
However, just like everyone else, Korra is a human being. And human beings age. Even though she maintained balance and trained frequently, Korra wasn't the same Korra as she was when she became the avatar. She and Asami got married a few years after they stopped the turf wars and started a family.
They adopted 4 siblings. The oldest was an earth bender named Jin. The second oldest was a water bender named Ming. The third oldest was an Airbender named Tin Tin. And the youngest was too an air bender named Zao. 2 strong boys and 2 strong girls. Each gave both Asami and Korra so much joy that they never could've imagined. And they loved their mothers with everything that they had.
But like as the saying goes all good things must come to an end. Two years ago, Korra suddenly fallen ill. But it wasn't due to natural causes. During the time of Kuvira, the spirit blast from Kuvira's machine absorbed negative energy from both the spirits and the human beings that had ill intentions. Therefore, when Korra blocked the blast to save Kuvira, some of the negative energy absorbed into Korra's body. In which caused Korra's body to be cancerous and damaged.
They went to the elderly Katara before she passed for help, but to no avail. Kya tried her hand in helping but the negative effects were spreading quickly thus making it impossible to heal Korra.
And not only that, the energy that kept the spirits portals open were starting to fade due to the lack of energy. Humans who traveled into the spirit world will become trapped in there forever. And the spirits who come into the living world will also be trapped and might transform into evil spirits if they become home sick.
In order to keep that from happening, Korra decides to purify the energy that lives inside her so that the spirits and humans can maintain harmony amongst themselves.
"Tenzin! Say something!" Asami shouted. She turned to an elderly man who now has grey hair on his beard and a lot more wrinkles than he did when he was in his prime. He was the youngest son of the previous avatar. He had a loving wife and four children who now have children of their own. His name was Tenzin, her old master. He was one of my who helped shaped Korra into the avatar she was now.
He steps towards his former student and looks deep within her cyan blue eyes. Within her eyes he sees all that they went through. All the tears, all the battles. And all the yelling he had to do to get Korra to understand what it means to be the avatar. And as the swelling in his heart began to rise he understood what Korra's eyes was saying to him.
"She has to leave Asami," Tenzin finally says. As the now 85 year old teacher tearfully hugs his students tightly. And then whispers, "I will see you again. And always remember, I'm very proud of you." Asami's voice started weeping when Korra gives her master one last hug goodbye. She kissed each of her children and grandchildren. A sobbing Bolin gives her his famous bear hug. Mako kisses her forehead and tells her, "I've never met anyone like you in my entire life." "You're truly one of a kind."
Korra thanks Mako for the sentiment and finally comes to her wife, who continues to sob on the ground. She lifts her wife's head up and looks into her eyes. "We all knew this day would come. Though I had to admit, I didn't want it to come so early. And I would at least wanted to have one last trip with you before I go. But fate has other ideas."
Korra laughs a bit. In which her laughter turns into a harsh cough. As she looks at her hands, clumps of blood had stained them deeply and she knew there was no time left. She looks at Asami and pulls her up and walks her down the slope where the portal once stood. She stands on one side and Asami stands on the other. Still holding hands.
"I love you," Korra says. "I love you too." Asami says lovely. The two gave each other a passionate kiss on the lips and Korra then stood in the middle and smiled.
"Don't worry," she says. "We'll see each other again." As Korra starts to bend the spirit water around her body, in the distance she hears a baby cry and smiles once more. "It begins again.."
