Christmas timeeee.......................(Both Fred and George are the only ones who can get inside the girls dorm cuz they have their ways.. Don't ask)
I was fast asleep when an obnoxiously loud knock shattered the peace. At first, I tried to ignore it, hoping whoever it was would get the hint and leave me be. No such luck. The knocking only grew louder and more relentless, like someone was trying to knock the entire door off its hinges.
Groaning, I buried my face deeper into my pillow and shouted toward the door, "Whoever you are, I swear, I'm not in the mood. Let me sleep!"
There was a moment of silence, blessed silence, and I sighed in relief. But then I heard it—the unmistakable creak of the floorboards inside the room.
I muttered, "Honestly, Hermione, if you were going to come in anyway, why bother knocking?" I didn't even open my eyes. My brain was still tangled in sleep and dreams.
Then came the sound of voices. Two, to be exact.
"Oi, Y/n, rise and shine. Breakfast's calling," one of them chimed.
I groaned and cracked open an eye, immediately squinting at the twin blurs standing over my bed. "Could you two just hush?" I mumbled, still not fully awake. As my vision cleared, I saw none other than Fred and George Weasley standing there with their usual matching grins.
"Blimey, Y/n, your hair's gone full lion," Fred chuckled, clearly pleased with himself.
I blinked at him, unamused. "Ha ha, hilarious," I muttered. "George, be a dear and help me before I turn into Hagrid's long-lost cousin."
George chuckled, already rifling through my trunk until he found a comb. With exaggerated care, he began gently untangling the bird's nest on my head while Fred sat cross-legged on my bed, watching with amusement.
"I thought you two were heading home for the holidays," I mumbled, still not entirely sure if this was real or just a very vivid dream.
Fred leaned back on his elbows. "Change of plans. Mum and Dad decided to pop over to Romania to visit Charlie. You know—dragons, fire-breathing madness, all that festive cheer."
"Well, that sounds delightfully chaotic," I said dryly. "Thanks, George," I added, hugging him before grabbing my thick sweater and scarf. I padded off to the bathroom, splashing my face with cold water to chase away the last remnants of sleep.
When I returned, both twins were now lounging across my bed like they owned the place.
I narrowed my eyes. "Just to be clear—boys aren't allowed in here, yeah?"
Fred grinned. "Rules are more like suggestions."
"You know us," George added.
I shook my head with a smirk and turned to Fred. "Come on, lazy. George, carry me to breakfast? I'm still half-dead."
"Your wish is my command," George said, scooping me up with ease.
As we strolled through the halls, I leaned my head on George's shoulder and poked my tongue out at Fred, who made a dramatic face of betrayal. The castle was quieter than usual—most students had gone home for the holidays—but there was something comforting about the silence, the muffled sound of snow falling outside the windows, and the warm glow of the castle torches.
