Chapter 14: Gift and Going home late

I was jolted awake by Harry's shaking and panicked words, but I couldn't make out what he was saying. Bleary-eyed, I sat up to see Harry's concerned expression.

"What's wrong, Harry?" I asked.

"Are you having nightmares again?" he asked, his face creased with worry.

"Mhm, sure seems like it," I replied.

"Come on, you'll feel better once you eat breakfast," he coaxed.

"But, Harry, I don't feel like it," I groaned.

"Come on, Y/n, it's almost noon," he said, taking my hands and pulling me up.

"Okay, okay, I'm up," I laughed. I added, "What did you and Dumbledore discuss, by the way? I waited for you, but you were gone for quite a while, and I ended up falling asleep," I asked.

Harry casually replied, "Nothing in particular, just some school advice."

I gave him a suspicious look and said, "Is that so?"

"Yep, now go wash up, and I'll wait for you," he instructed.

I nodded and headed to the restroom to freshen up.

As I stood in front of the bathroom mirror, I couldn't help but think about the dream I had. So many questions raced through my mind. Was I the reason why Tom, or Voldemort, became evil? And why did he keep appearing repeatedly in my dream?

After washing my face and throwing my hair up in a messy bun, I picked out a cute outfit and exited the restroom. That's when I saw Harry sitting in the room.

"You look adorable," I chuckled.

He blushed and replied, "Oh."

"Don't be shy," I said, grabbing his arm. "Let's go downstairs and meet your mother!"

As we descended the stairs and walked toward the kitchen, it was clear that Moony, Padfoot, and Lily were cooking and having a great time. James and Sev were already seated, and as we entered, Sirius greeted us with a laugh.

"Well, well, isn't it time for you to be here?" he said.

"Good morning, Y/n," Lily said.

"Hello, Ms. Lily, and good morning to you too," I replied with a smile.

James and Sev snickered, and I was confused.

"Oh, dear, you can just call me Lily. Don't bother with the 'Ms..,'" Lily said, beaming.

"Okay," I nodded and sat down beside Sev and Harry.

"How was your sleep, Y/n?" James asked as he chewed on some Pancakes.

"It was good," I replied.

Sev gave me a sharp look and said, "Your dark circle under your eyes says otherwise."

I chuckled and explained, "I was waiting for Harry, but he took too long, so I ended up falling asleep."

"So Y/n, have you had any Nightmares lately?" Moony asked as he plated the pancakes.

I turned pale, hoping they wouldn't press for details. "Let's talk about it next time," I replied.

"Sure thing. Sorry about that," Moony responded.
