2 WEEKS LATER
After that mess with Michael, I put it completely behind me and did not look back. I loved my man and I was excited to marry him. I was out all day and when I came home, Wilson and his mom were there. He made dinner for us.
"Hey baby," he said as he kissed me. "Go wash yourself up. Dinner almost ready."
"Okay, sweetie," I smiled.
His mom was on the couch watching TV. "Hey Mama Wilson." She smiled and waved. Now me and her weren't the best of friends, but we got along. She was sort of one of those true boy moms who thinks no woman is good enough for her son. Ian pay it no mind.
I took a shower and went in the bedroom to get dressed. Wilson came back there to talk to me. "Hey baby, I need to tell you something."
"What is it," I looked at him anxiously.
"My mom will be staying here for a few days." I said, "A few days? For what exactly?"
"She just misses me and wants to spend time with me." This man can't be serious right now. "Wilson that's pushing it. This apartment barely big enough for me and you. Why would you even tell her that's okay?"
"Because that's my mom, come on now. Why you being like that?"
"Being like what Wilson?? Are you fucking kidding me? Be a fucking man and stand up to her. This is our home for our own privacy. She has a whole house of her own!" I am heated at this moment.
He said, "You need to keep your damn voice down before she hears you."
Now I'm mad. "I don't give a fuck if she hears me. I'm sick of this shit. How you gone have a wife letting yo mama run your household? That's bullshit and you know it!"
We are legit screaming at each other. "That's my fucking mama bruh. The fuck you want me to do, disown her? You need to watch your fucking mouth!"
"Ian gotta watch shit! If she mean that damn much to you marry her shit! I'm out of here!" I grabbed my purse, left in what I just threw on, and ran out the door as quickly as I could.
I got in my car and sped the fuck off. I just screamed and tears rolled down my eyes. I drove myself to the Peabody Hotel. I left my car with the valet and walked quickly to the front desk.
My face was soaking wet from tears. I couldn't even look the front desk agent in the eye. I tried speaking as best as I could. "I need a room please."
"Yes mam, of course. I have a standard king room available at the moment."
I rattled through my wallet looking for my ID and credit card. "That works. I'll take it. It's fine." I handed her my valet ticket, ID, and credit card. She tried to help me as quickly as possible seeing that I was so upset. "Here is your cards back. Here is a copy of welcome letter. We offer free coffee in the mornings from 6-10. Wifi is free and the water bottles in the room are yours. Here are your room keys, mam. You are in room 432. Elevators are straight behind you."
I took everything from her quickly putting my cards back in my purse. "Thank you so much." I rushed to the elevators as quickly as possible and pressed the 4 button.
I made it to the room and God I was so mad and upset. I didn't know what to do. Was my marriage over before it even started?
Too busy crying, I hadn't been able to sleep. It had been hours since I left and he hadn't texted me nor called. Me being an emotional wreck, I did something.
I went to my phone, found Michael's number and texted him "I need you - Kourtney"
Within five minutes, he responded telling me he'll fly in the morning, if I were okay and to tell him where I was. I texted him back as best I could and put my phone on do not disturb. I cried myself to sleep.
