Chapter 11: Scheming Stalker

Emily was sitting on her couch with her laptop, scrolling through Sarah's social media profiles. She was determined to find any dirt she could on her, hoping to prove to John that Sarah was not as perfect as she seemed.

As she clicked through Sarah's pictures, Emily couldn't help but feel jealous of how happy Sarah seemed in her new life. She had lost weight, looked happy, and even seemed to have a new love interest. Emily gritted her teeth and muttered to herself, "Who does she think she is, leaving John like that?"

Suddenly, Emily's phone buzzed, interrupting her thoughts. She saw that it was a message from John, and her heart fluttered with excitement. She quickly opened the message and read, "Hey, can we talk?"

Emily's mind raced as she typed back, "Of course. Want to come over?"

John arrived at Emily's apartment a few minutes later, looking tired and worn out. Emily could tell that he had been struggling since Sarah left him, and she felt a pang of sympathy for him.

"What do you want to talk about?" Emily asked, trying to hide her excitement.

"I don't know, Em. I just feel lost. I miss Sarah, but I can't forgive her for what she did to me," John said, his voice cracking with emotion.

Emily felt a surge of anger at the mention of Sarah's name, but she quickly composed herself. "I know how hard this is for you, John. But you have to move on. You deserve someone who will treat you right."

John nodded, looking defeated. Emily could tell that he was vulnerable, and she saw her chance. She put a hand on his shoulder and leaned in close, whispering in his ear, "I can be that person for you, John. I've always cared about you, and I'm here for you now."

John looked at her, surprised, and Emily could see the hesitation in his eyes. But then he shook his head and said, "I don't know, Em. I don't want to rush into anything."

Emily nodded, hiding her disappointment. She knew that she would have to work harder to win John back, but she was willing to do whatever it takes. As John left her apartment, Emily sat down at her laptop once again, determined to find more ways to undermine Sarah's happiness.
