For the next few weeks, Sarah and David had been seeing each other regularly. David had been so kind and understanding towards Sarah, that she felt like she could open up to him about anything. David listened to all her stories, about her failed marriage and her trust issues, and he promised to never hurt her.
But then, Sarah received a text message from a number she didn't recognise. The message was a photo of David with another woman, kissing her passionately. Sarah's heart sank as she realised that David had cheated on his wife with her the night they met.
Sarah felt betrayed and used, just like she had felt with John. She couldn't believe that she had let herself fall for the same mistake twice. Sarah felt foolish and regretful, wishing that she had never met David in the first place.
The tears began to fall down Sarah's face as she sat on her bed, staring at the phone. She wanted to believe that David was different, that he really cared for her, but the photo said otherwise.
As she wiped away her tears, Sarah made a promise to herself that she wouldn't let anyone hurt her like this again. She couldn't trust anyone, not even herself. Sarah knew that it would take time to heal, but she was willing to go through the process and come out stronger.
In the days that followed, David tried to reach out to her but she had already blocked and removed him on every media account she could think of.
