PRESENT

The next morning, John woke up with a heavy heart. He had betrayed his wife and himself again. He had to face the consequences of his actions. He took a deep breath and got up, getting dressed and heading downstairs.

As he entered the kitchen, he saw his wife, tears streaming down her face, staring at him with a mixture of anger and hurt. "How could you do this to me, John?" she asked, her voice trembling.

John hung his head, unable to look her in the eye. "I'm sorry, Sarah. I don't know what came over me. It was a mistake, a terrible mistake. Please forgive me," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.

Lisa shook her head, the tears still flowing. "I don't know if I can forgive you, John. You've broken my heart," she said, her voice choked with emotion.

Suddenly, the doorbell rang, interrupting the tense moment. Sarah went to answer it, and John could hear her gasp in shock. He followed her to the door and saw her boss, Emily, standing there, a sly expression on her face.

Sarah felt her blood boiling with rage as Emily stood in front of her, taunting her with a smug smile. Sarah could feel the anger inside of her, pulsating through her veins, and before she knew it, she had lunged forward, ready to attack.

Emily was quick to react, and soon the two women were locked in a physical struggle, throwing punches and insults at each other. The sound of their bodies slamming into walls and furniture echoed through the house, and John stood by, watching in horror as the scene unfolded before him.

"You bitch!" Sarah screamed as she landed a blow to Emily's face, causing her to stumble back. "You think you can just waltz in here and steal my husband?!"

Emily laughed in response, wiping the blood from her mouth. "He was never yours, to begin with, Sarah. You're just a pathetic, delusional woman who can't keep her man satisfied."

The insult hit Sarah hard, and she charged at Emily with renewed energy. The two women fell to the ground, clawing and pulling at each other's hair. John tried to intervene, but the women were too caught up in their fight to pay any attention to him.

Curses and swear words were flying from their lips like bullets, and the room was filled with a cacophony of sound. Finally, after what felt like hours, Sarah managed to pin Emily down, breathing heavily and seething with anger.

"You're going to regret ever crossing me," Sarah hissed, raising her fist to strike again.

But before she could follow through, John stepped in, pulling her away from Emily. "That's enough," he said firmly, his voice shaking slightly. "I can't let this go on any longer."

Sarah glared at him, breathing heavily. She was still filled with anger and hurt, and she knew that this was far from over. But for now, she reluctantly stepped away, still seething with fury.

Emily lay on the ground, bruised and battered, but still wearing a smug grin on her face. "You might have won this battle, Sarah," she spat, "but the war isn't over yet."

And with those words, she slowly got to her feet and made her way out of the house, leaving Sarah and John standing in the wreckage of their once-happy home.
