Sebastian's alarm clock bells rang through my entire body, pulling me out of a dreamless sleep. He reached over and slammed the top, still dazed from last night. I had a slight headache but it could have been a lot worse. He groaned in his sleep, turning over to me and kissing my forehead.

"I don't remember getting here but I love waking up next to you." Sebastian smiled, his eyes still closed, his voice full of sleep. Hints of cinnamon on his breath wafted out as he spoke. "You didn't take advantage of me last night, did you?"

Great. He doesn't remember part of last night, which means he doesn't remember saying that he loved me and my response saying it back.

"Remind me never to drink that much again on a school night," he finally opened his eyes, wincing at the sunlight. Songbirds sat outside the window, chirping loudly.

"Noted," I said, brushing the hair off of his forehead. "I need to go get ready and grab breakfast before classes start." I tossed the warm quilt aside, gathering my stuff from the floor.

"I'll miss you. Have a good first day," Sebastian said, still in bed, ruffling his hair with his hands.

"You too," I looked back, smiling at him before quietly shutting the door.

"Good morning, Gianna," Herita surprised me as she was exiting her room. I jumped at the sound of her voice.

"Herita, good morning," I looked down, forgetting that I was only wearing Sebastian's boxers and shirt.

"I take it you had a good night?" She smirked, throwing her long black hair behind her shoulders, "I'm glad you two made up."

I blushed bashfully, "Uh, yes, I've got to get ready for class." I started towards my door, desperate to end this awkward encounter.

"Don't worry dear, I'm not judging, I'm happy for you. It seems like Mr. Grumpy Potions Master needed someone like you to turn his attitude around." Herita laughed, "Good luck today."

"Thank you, good luck to you too." I added before rushing into my room, embarrassed that she saw me with so little clothes on.

I flew through my morning routine, throwing on a black skirt, emerald green button up, black tights, and heeled boots ensemble, wrapping my neck in a skinny silver tie. I kept my hair from last night, which was still curly, saving me some time.

I grabbed my bag and set off to the Great Hall. Eating breakfast was important if I was going to get through an entire day of classes. I was teaching seven total, five on each day, two in the morning and three in the afternoon. They rotated through the week, giving me some variety to my schedule. Sixth and seventh years were advanced classes, specifically for students that required Defense Against the Dark Arts for N.E.W.T.s. Today, I had first, third, fifth, sixth, and seventh years, it was going to be a long day.

Much different than the last few weeks, the Great Hall was bustling with students eating their breakfasts, downing coffee, and nervously talking about what the day would bring. I scrambled over to the staff table through the crowds, grabbing a chocolate chip muffin and a coffee to take back to my classroom. I had no time to sit and relax, I wanted to make sure everything was perfect before my third years started straggling in for their first class of the day.

I strode up the stairs to my office, sitting down at my desk to scarf down the muffin, crumbs spilling on my skirt. Thumbing through my rosters, I read through each one again. I'd have Octavia Gaunt and Albie Longbottom in my sixth year class today, which was right after lunch.

8am approached and the third year students began to file in. Butterflies fluttered in my stomach as the anticipation of teaching finally hit me. I hoped I could live up to Professor Hecat, especially with the students that had her as a teacher for years.
