"They will be fine." India said on FaceTime with Noah and Nadia running in the back.

"I mean, they never -" Alaia started.

"Like I haven't had two kids at once before. Go on ya lil trip, have fun, and call us when you make it." India said, blowing a kiss.

"Ma-" Alaia started, but it was nearly time for take off.

"Ma'am we need you to turn off your phone." The flight attendant said, and Teana looked at her.

"Sorry." She said to him

"We have another passenger headed down the runway now." One of the other attendants mentioned

All these years had passed, and it wasn't until last night that she felt guilty for not telling him. She had her reasons, and although valid, they were unfair. It was as if all the things she had heard about Chosen weren't true.

After their encounter last night, he continued to eye her, but he kept his space.

His speech, of course, was memorable. It was easy to see Eli was still one of the most important people in his life.

"The blanket you asked for." Another attendant came interrupting her thoughts.

"Thank you." She said, yawning, grabbing it.

In she was surrounded by the wedding party. In front of her sat Eli and Teana while the rest of the part was scattered in first class and part of economy. Some of the people she knew and others she didn't.

Alaia wondered if her first vacation alone since having the kids being this one was a good idea.

"Partied too hard, huh?" Eli glanced back as Alaia leaned her seat back.

"Yea, you was tossin em back." Teana teased her.

She spread the blanket out as her thoughts went to last night.

"I jus don't really drink like that." Alaia admitted.

"Neva really did." Chosen said, getting on the plane with a carry-on.

Alaia felt her stomach drop as he approached them in first class.

"I thought you don't do trips?" Mia asked, looking at him as surprised as the other women but still intrigued.

"I don't." He said, looking at his ticket.

"What a coincidence." He said seeing his seat was next to Alaia's.

"Yea." She said dryly, and Eli laughed.

"Here I thought you two were the best of friends" Eli joked, and Alaia rolled her eyes.

"Excuse me." Chosen said, moving past her to get to his seat.

Mia watched from across the aisle as Eli cozied next to Teana and Chosen without a doubt was trying to do the same to Alaia.

"What are you doin?" She said as he leaned his head on her shoulder.

"Thought we was takin a nap?" He said, and she rolled her eyes.

"It is literally a 6-hour flight don't be all mean the entire way." He said, and Eli laughed.

"I mean, she got kids she is tired, I would be too with two kids, twins at that." Mia commented.

Alaia looked at her because she was definitely catching all her remarks.

Mia seemed to have a problem with her only when Chosen was around.

"Yup responsibilities, maybe you'll learn em one day." Alaia said, turning the other way, and it was an easy choice to choose to look at Chosen over Mia.
