"You are really pregnant?" Alan looked at his daughter.

Alaia nodded.

"With twins?" Evonne said and Alaia nodded.

"I'm good on campus this semester but next semester things will change. I might need help." Alaia looked at her father.

"help?" Evonne looked at her.

"Maybe like with a place near campus." Alaia said and it honestly killed her to ask but she knew in order to finish school she had no options.

"Uhm." Alan paused.

He swallowed it was a lot to take in.

His daughter, a fresh college student was 4 months pregnant with twins.

He looked at her, she had gained a little weight but she didn't look pregnant not by a long shot.

"Twins?" Alan repeated and Alaia nodded.

"So your giving them up for adoption." Evonne said instead of more of a question and Alaia looked at her.

She had found out almost a month ago and she had decided she was keeping them.

Telling Chosen was for another but today she chose their kids.

"No, I plan on keeping them and there is a program with the college that will help with daycare. I plan on working so I just need a little help with a place." Alaia admitted.

She didn't want to be she couldn't do it alone.

"We uhm need to talk about this." Alan said looking to Evonne who nodded.

Alaia didn't know what she could say so she nodded.

Alan grabbed his wife's hand and walked off.

Alaia knew that the conversation was something that would happen likely without her.

She had been working part-time but she wouldn't be able to afford twins, one baby would be a stretch.

Alaia walked into her room and listened to her father go back and forth with Evonne.

She looked down at her phone at her cousin calling once more and turned her phone over.

Alaia wasn't really sure if she was ready to tell anyone else.

Instead she went on her backup page and searched chosen's name.

'Chosen One'

His page popped so many tags popped up.

Alaia said up confused.

She expected photos of him at a party but instead, it was mugshots.

"What the fuck?" She mumbled.

She had avoided his page but now she wished she hadn't.

She scrolled and saw him being accused of murder.

Alaia felt her heart drop realizing she couldn't tell her father who he was, let alone call on him for help, how could she?

Alaia found herself crying as she was clueless as to what to do next.

Her hand laid on her stomach and she accepted she made a choice and it was up to her and her alone to take care of them.

"My twins." She said rolling over to think what she could do to get them out of that situation.

"Yes?" Alaia sighed finally answering her phone.

"Why yo bald neck ass ain't answer?" Teana requested a facetime.
