Part 55

Becky's POV

Ever since I asked about Sam, Freen has been avoiding me. She doesn't fetch me to school. She doesn't answer my calls and she dryly responds to my messages. I'm curious, we never had a fight, we don't have any misunderstanding. I'm trying to  think back where I went wrong. She often touches and holds me but lately she doesn't even care to glance at me.

Today is Yuki's funeral. The gang is here except her. It's very emotional especially for Tim. Tim being the heir of the greatest transportation in Asia her family took Yuki's case seriously. They thought that Yuki is a threat to their company but the police concluded that it's not. Since Yuki got caught before the bug is fully installed. I'm starting to wonder why Yuki would put a bug on Tim's phone. I knew something was wrong I could feel it. Yuki is a happy go lucky girl, she has no problem in the family, money, to herself or even her love life  so commiting suicide is a big question for me. Me, Nop and her parents asked the police if there is any evidence or possibility that she was murdered but the police told us that she committed suicide since there's a suicide note and there are signs of hesitation marks on Yuki's wrists. Despite receiving an accurate report with evidence on hand, I still can't shake the feeling that someone did that to Yuki.

I was deep in my thoughts when Jim came beside me, hugging me giving me comfort. I gave her a smile and held her hand. The funeral is over and Nop is taking me home. He is not also satisfied with the police investigation so he told me that he will look into it. I didn't respond to him much cause I'm overwhelmed with the feeling of loss. My brother is not yet awake, Yuki died and Freen is giving me the cold shoulder. How miserable can my life be. I sighed and closed my eyes. I went home and took a shower. Tomorrow is Saturday and I decided to invite Freen for a date so I messaged her.

Becky: Good morning, Teerak. I missed you so much. Would you like to come with me on a date?

Freen: Sorry busy.

Becky: Please, Teerak.

I messaged her more and even tried calling her but she didn't respond. Do we have a problem? She's been like this for a few days now. She does everything to avoid me. I have nothing to do so I decided to meet Lax my P.I. I want to know her progress. I sent her the time and location and she agreed.

Lax POV

One evening when I was about to close my bar, Grandma came. She gave me a new assignment. She told me that I have to be Rebecca's P.I We need to control the information we will feed on Rebecca. According to Grandma she's persistent to find the culprit to her brother's case.

It was during the weekend when Rebecca asked me to meet her. This is my first time seeing her. I informed Grandma about this meeting and she told me what information to give Rebecca. I also messaged Freen and informed her. She demanded to know our meeting place so I sent her the time and location Rebecca gave me.

Rebecca chose the mall as a meeting place. She came earlier than me. She's tiny. She greeted me with a smile while bowing so I greeted her back.

Lax: (smiling) Good morning, ma'am.

Becky: (smiling back) Good morning. I'm sorry this is my first time doing this. Are you my P.I ?

Lax: (laughing) Yes, I am. Nice to finally meet you. (shaking Becky's hand)

Becky: (surprised) Really? I thought P.I is not this good looking. You're tall, pretty and sexy. I would guess you to be a model rather than a P.I

I was flattered with her compliment but I'm not here to be her friend.

Lax: (smiling) Thank you ma'am. I was about to send you my report but you chose to meet me so here it is.

I gave her the file Grandma instructed me to give her. The goal of this assignment is to prove my credibility so everything I gave her is true and to protect Freen's identity. She looked at the file and began asking.
