Part 98

(sorry this is the fastest I know to end the story. It's lame)

Freen's POV

I am speechless with everything. "This is my fault!"

Kirk: I'll end what we started Freen I'll kill Rebecca for you and we will start over.  We will go to a new country just you and me. Leave everything behind. You've never been to Denmark. Let's go there.

Kirk was about to pull the trigger and that's when everything went to slow motion. Lax shot one alpha male. This alarmed Kirk and so he looked behind. The remaining alpha member was about to shoot Lax back but Nop fired his gun protecting Lax and Kirk fired his gun shooting Nop. Rebecca shouted Nops name as she came closer to him. I tried to stop her but she moved swiftly and now she's trying to stop Nops bleeding in his lower stomach.  I saw Kirk smiling. He changed his cartilage since he ran out of bullets. I saw him cock his gun as he put his pointing finger to the trigger and that's when I grabbed my gun pointing at him. "I need to stop this madness"

The next thing I heard was Grandma's scream NO as Kirk fired his gun so I fired my gun aiming to Kirk. I heard Kirk scream in pain along with Rebecca's scream. I looked to my side and Grandma is bleeding. She's on top of Rebecca. Lax stood frozen to her position while holding his bleeding arm. I went close to Grandma as I instructed Lax to call an ambulance. Lax took a minute before she started dialing her phone.

I fixed Grandma's position as I tightened the jacket into his back where she was shot. Rebecca is sitting still cause Grandma is using her leg as a pillow. I tightened my grip into Grandma's hands as Rebecca caress Grandma's head.

Freen: (pleading) Please. Please. Please. Don't leave me Grandma. Please.

Grandma chuckled for a second but stopped since she's in pain.

Grandma: (smiling at Freen) I made you strong. You'll get over me.

I cried harder.

Freen: Please. Don't leave me. Please. Grandma. Stay.

Those we're the only words that comes into my mind and so I repeat them over and over. Grandma tried to reach me with her other hand so I held it tight.

Grandma: (sincere) Forgive me my child. Forgive me for everything. For everything that I put you through and for leaving you. I love you, i always have. You're the best grand daughter anyone can have and I'm sorry you had me as your granny. I regret everything. I do. I ruined your life and Kirks. It wasn't his fault it was mine. I'm sorry. Im sorry.

Freen: Please. Grandma. Don't leave me. Please.

Rebecca caressed my shoulder as she says my name.

Rebecca: Freen. Please.

I looked at Rebecca and I know what she's insinuating and I don't want to accept that I just couldn't.

Freen: (sincere) I never blamed you for anything Grandma. I never did, so stop apologizing. The doctors are coming. please stay strong Grandma. Please.

Lax also sat beside Grandma.

Freen: Where's the doctor?

Lax: (sad) We're 8 hours away from the city. All our ambulances is used for our man who fought outside. We have nothing left but an ambulance is 1 hour away.

I cried harder and that's when Grandma tapped my hands.

Grandma: (re assuring) It's okay. It's okay. I love you Freen.

With that Grandma closed her eyes and I felt her hand loosen her grip to mine and that's where we all burst into crying.

The ambulance came along with the doctor but Grandma is no longer breathing. They checked all the bodies lying on the floor and no one is breathing. "I wish I wasn't breathing too"
