Part 61

[Sorry guys for updating so late. My cousin died and I got sick. Hope you are all fine. Stay healthy everyone.]

Liza's POV

I didn't know that Rebecca has psychogenic fever. After her block out I took care of her, of course. Since Freen also requested it. It's been 3 days and I'm lucky enough that Rose or her Dad is not visiting her here. No one knows I'm here. It's also where I realized that she's been living alone. I called in a psychiatrist to check on her and luckily she told me she doesn't need to take medicine for it. I'm sitting beside Rebecca and I can't help but miss Freen. Rebecca woke up and she saw me. She's serious and doesn't even smile at me.

Becky: Can you answer my questions now?

Liza: (serious) Can you handle them?

Becky: (hesitant) What does Freen have to do with my brother's condition?

I won't betray my Freeny. I am offering her my loyalty but that doesn't mean I will tell her everything I know. I will help her find the answer but it won't be coming from me. " I'm sorry Becky. I'm a horrible person for doing this to you. Freen saved my life and I won't give her up"

Liza: (serious) I can't answer your question, Rebecca.

Becky: You can't or you won't?

Liza: (changing the topic) I know what happened to Yuki. She's your Best friend right, since high school. When you transferred from England. She's the only girl who stayed by your side despite the language barrier.

Becky: (confused) How did you know that? She didn't commit suicide. right?

Liza: (shaking her head) No. Yuki is not the friend who you think she is. She inserted herself into your life because she's spying on you. She died because someone out there wanted to protect you.

Becky: (mad) What makes you think I'll believe that?! Killing Yuki is protecting me?!! Bullshit!!

Liza: (smiling) Exactly. See. You have trouble accepting the truth, Rebecca. Therefore I can't answer all your questions without any evidence to support my claim.

Becky started crying again.

Becky: (serious) Who else? Are you one of them? Did you come into my life to spy on me too?

She is now starting to question the people in her life. "That's a good start"

Liza: (serious) I am not here to spy on you. I worked for the people who are your enemy. I failed at some point and it caused me my life so here I am.

Becky: (confused) Is that the reason why you're here? Changing alliances cause your life is in danger and you want me to believe that?

Liza: I am here because someone wants to help and protect you. That someone saved my life too. I want to live, Rebecca so here I am offering my service. But always remember you can't trust all the people around you Rebecca. Not even me.

Becky: Who do you work for? You worked under our enemy right? Who are they?

"I can't answer this either. I'm sorry Becky but I can't tell you who she is or who they are."

Liza: We never met before doing a job, the boss is always anonymous.  We don't even know each other. We were only given instructions and we did them. Failed to do so will result in severe consequences. That's all I know.

Becky's POV

I just realized that people around me aren't real. My Dad, my brother, and now Yuki and Freen might have betrayed me too. They are all important people in my life. I loved and trusted them so much but in the end they all broke it. What did I do to deserve all of this? Why is this happening to me? I still have a lot of questions but Liza's right. I find it hard to believe her, I find it hard to accept it. I still doubt if Liza's telling me the truth about Yuki. My instinct and my gut tells me that she is but something in me is hoping that she's wrong. If I talk to Freen, she'll enlighten me. She'll make everything better. Why didn't she contact me yet, I need her.
