THE MAJORITY OF her day was spent going through boxes, unpacking them and setting everything up in her new bedroom. Whilst things were still a bit messy, it was overall better than what it previously was.

The quiet sound of bugs croaking all around her filled her ears, a feeling of nostalgia washing over her. Her fingers ran over the exposed skin of her legs -- feeling the spring air engulf her body in its warmth.
Something so beautifully sad about the night lingered over her curled up body, basking in the moonlight as she drowned herself in an ocean of thoughts.
Now, looking back at her late teenage years (that weren't even long ago), she remembers how she never expected herself to be in the current state she was in.
That being -- happy.
With the loads of stress and depression she had been out in during the last of her teenage years, she expected herself to be in the same boat present time. She didn't ever think she'd be able to prevent herself from sinking, falling into a pit of loneliness and sadness.
If one thing was for sure, (one of) the biggest lesson(s) she had taught herself and learned over the years is that it's perfectly acceptable to lean on her peers for help in hard times such as her own.
Something she wasn't afraid to admit was that seeking emotional support from those close to her was the one thing that truly managed to help her get to the calm point she was at in her life currently.
