Another Love

Chapter 13

Tay'ra and Jake were now sat together near the lake, after she had helped him to become calm.

"It is because you saw her right? Neytiri" Tay'ra says.

Jake nods.

She gives him a half hearted smile, "it is alright. I understand."

"I just.. I am very overwhelmed right now, to see her the way I did" Jake says.

"I know how it feels. It is okay" Tay'ra says back.

Jake only keeps his shoulder down, as his tail stays landed on the rock, around him, along with his ears.

His whole body telling Tay'ra that he was upset.

"I saw my mother. It was hard at first when I had first seen her through the spirit tree. But seeing her more than once, I am comfortable with it and I understand it" Tay'ra says.

Jake looks up at her.

She places her hand above him, "you are just a man who needs time to grieve. That is all. And I am right here for you. When you need it."

He lets out a little smile, "Thankyou."

She smiles back at him.

For someone who was strong, and never let his feelings show, he was very much vulnerable in front of Tay'ra.

"You know, my mother would have been fifty five now" Tay'ra says.

Jake looks at her, listening to her words carefully, as she opens up to him.

"I would have been able to go around with her, as it was always the two of us together. She never left my side, once. It would have been nice for us two to have.. to have just one last meal together" Tay'ra says.

Jake watches her carefully, as she speaks with a sweet voice and yet, it was so painful to hear as you could hear the heart break in her tone.

She goes quiet for a moment as she thinks to herself, letting out a little sigh.

"Before she had passed, when I was a lot more younger, she had promised me that we'd travel the sea's together. That I'd get to see all of it. With her" Tay'ra smiles as she remembers her mothers words.

She then looks up to Jake, "it is okay for you to open up. Open up about Neytiri and what you did with her. And how you feel. It was very hard for me to begin with Jake. And it will be. But sooner you will realise, opening up is the best thing. I had opened up to Zo'ile. And if had felt like so much weight had been lifted off my shoulders."

"I do not wish to burden you" Jake whispers.

"I care about you. It is not a burden to me" Tay'ra replies.

As it gets to the morning, Jake hears a lot of cheerful laughs, and shouting, coming from outside his marui, causing him to wake up.

He sits up, confused, as to why he could see almost blurred bodies, running around.

But the trumpet then blows, causing him to stand up immediately, making his way out.

"They are here!" He hears Tay'ras' sweet voice call out as he makes his way out of the marui.

He sees Tay'ra sat on an ilu, swimming around everyone's marui.

She could not ride the Tsurak in front of the clan. As she was not a hunter.

"Everybody! Our brothers and sisters have returned!" She calls out as she's making her way out.
